Good food and coffee. Was hard to see what was offered in the dark showcases and not much help was offered in regards to... suggestions on what was popular or available. We also couldn't find a bathroom ???? All in all a good spot though. Read more

I love this coffee shoppe. First, the location is perfect. It was within walking distance of several B&B establishments and just... a hop and skip from Water Street. The atmosphere is cozy but fun when it fills up around 9am. Their coffee is top notch and youcould drink something different every day for a month!! The breakfast menu is limited but there's everything from a fullbreakfast to a small continental fare of tasty pastries and muffins. The lunch menu is also varied and covers many tastes. It'sa nice break from the fish/seafood at most tradiyional NL places. I went a number of times during my stay and it will be mygo-to when I return. Read more

Long story short, I ordered a couple plant based cookies under the impression they were vegan and mentioned my egg allergy. Two... minutes later I was puking in the bathroom. Longer read: It was a totally valid mistake for the product to somehow contain eggs- these are things outside of our control. When I let the staff know to pull or relabel them as not plant based products, theyagreed to relay the information to other staff and double check the ingredients. They concluded that it was a "may contain" itemand I stated that this batch most definitely had too much of the egg allergen- it wasn't plant based. That being said, Iunderstand it wasn't their intention to cause this inconvenience. Later, my partner asked for a tea on the house to soothe mysymptoms, but while we got what we needed, the conversation exchanged was not sympathetic but rather accusatory; we were given atea but also remarks made us feel like it was our issue and responsibility for eating there. Again, it wasn't your fault, but wedidn't need to be schooled about what I can and can't have. Their coffee was awesome and generally speaking, it was okay howthings went. There was no "how are you doing", but a constant reiteration of " I didn't guarantee anything" and "next time, double check the ingredients yourselves" on vegan options... Read more

The food is quite tasty. There's healthy options as well as treats for if you're in the mood. The customer service is more or... less great - nothing to complain about - and there's an atmosphere perfect for both casual interaction as well as studying/work.All in all, great place! Read more
