Great food and great service. The fish (cod) is the best we have had here. Both the pan fried and the deep fried were delicious.

Had the cod fish and chips. I highly recommend getting the dressing and gravy. I had this meal twice while I was in town. ... Once in the restaurant and once take out as seen in the photo. The take out does not come with tartar sauce so if you want thatmake sure you ask for it. Both times I had the meal it was fantastic. Best fish and chips I have ever had. The place it self issmall but full of charm. The kitchen closes at 8 pm so be sure to go early. I can?t wait to go back. Read more

Came in for a pint, had friendly staff and food came out super fast and fresh. Can recommend the fish and chip bites, their... salads are great and the Newfoundland wrap comes with tons of moist turkey and the classic Newfoundland Dressing. One of thosehole in the wall looking places that are worth the stop in before checking out the main shops on Water Street. Pictured is theClassic Newfoundland Wrap. Read more

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here. We had been looking forward to visiting this particular restaurant before we even... arrived in St John's. Part of the bad experience was that it was unbelievably hot but the restaurant can't control the summertemperatures but it wasn't comfortable temperature inside. The waitress was horrible. We waited a long time for her to takedrink order, then waited long time for drinks to arrive, waited more time for her to come back to take food order. Customersthat arrived after us were receiving their food while we still waited a very long time for our food. Then when food finallyarrived the wrong meal was ordered for my friend. Instead of classic Newfoundland wrap it was a hot turkey sandwich. A differentwaitress who brought out our food said she would remove my friends meal from bill but when bill arrived the wrong meal was stillon the bill. I enjoyed my meal which was the classic Newfoundland wrap and I received mine as ordered. I wanted to like thisplace but the service made the visit horrible. Read more

Fresh caught Cod Fish n Chips was good. Light and flaky. Hot Turkey Sandwich was moist and dressing was tasty. Clam chowder... was delicious. Turkey Pot pie was on salty side with burnt onion rings. Overall average pub food. Cozy lounge with a few VLTs.They do have a small outdoor patio at the rear. Check them out. Read more

We ordered fish cakes, fish and chips and Greek salad. Interesting fact: their Greek salad came with no feta cheese!!! We were... told that this place is very famous for their fish and chips- and it it true! One of the best fish and chips I?ve ever had. However, the breading of Chafe?s Landing is better in my opinion. The fish cakes weren?t listed on their lunch menu, but whenwe asked they were available! Quick and friendly service! Read more
