This was our first visit to The Hill in St Louis. It is an established tightly nit Italian neighborhood filled with... restaurants, pubs, and eateries on every corner. Parking is curbside everywhere. We arrived late on a Saturday evening, soeverything was crowded. We randomly chose Guidos. My wife had the Veal Picatta and bruschettas. She loved the picatta butthought the bruschettas were bland. I had the Veal Marsala. The seasoning on every dish was superb, and the salad was chefscustom blend and flavor. We were strongly impressed with the overall texture and flavor of all dishes, and service was Italiansuperb! Since the diner is so popular, it was a little noisy for my comfort. Overall, Guidos is definitely a 5+. Read more

My favorite Saint Louis restaurant. Fine Italian and Spanish eatery. Authentic Spanish tapas. Always a top, professional wait... staff. My family and I have eaten here many times over 22 years. Read more

The star loss was for service. We arrived mid day on a Friday very few other patrons inside. Seated promptly, sat in a corner... and waited a long while to see the waiter. He brought the wrong drinks, then disappeared again for a half hour. Came back tookorder and once pizza came we didn’t see him again. I had to ask for the check from the bar. The atmosphere was cute and warmit was cozy inside. The bread was good and the pizza was perfect. First time having St. Louis style I loved how thin it was withl it’s toppings. All in all I would come here again service could have been a one off situation. Read more

I was craving a Caribbean Paella, which is hard to find here, but Guido's had a Spanish Paella that I thought might do. Wife... also ordered linguine & clams & some bruschetta. See photos. The linguine was quite good, plenty of garlic and not *too* heavyon the oil. The bruschetta were particularly nice to my taste - those white slabs in the pics are chunks of mozzarella. I haveno complaints against the Paella, as long as you understand the differences. There were beans and slices of red bell pepper, lots of mussels and some clam on the shell, and chicken thighs on the bone, apparently seasoned and baked separately beforebeing included, shrimp with the tails... none of this is really problematic. That's Paella, and if you can't pull out the musselshells and shrimp tails, it's not for you. I really wanted Caribbean style with tomato and more *kick* to the spice, but we ateall of this and it settled the craving for a while. Our only real complaint was the half hour we sat in the street waiting forour food. When it came out the first time there was no bruschetta, and the cook had apparently included so.e ticket from hoursearlier in the day. The runner took it all back inside while they straightened it out and made our order right, while we satafter having shown up when we were told it would be ready. When we finally got it, there was no apology nor any effort at all totry and compensate or even acknowledge the delay. For that, I may not bother ordering there again, but the food itself waspretty good. Read more

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. It did not disappoint. I do recommend you set up a reservation instead... of coming by hoping for an open table. We ordered a large Cesar salad, 16" pepperoni and jalapeno pizza, tiramisu and gooeybutter cake. There was plenty of food for three people. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the atmosphere was great. Wecan't wait to try other dishes on the menu. Read more

First time visitor. Went for my birthday. Exceptional service. The food was incredible! Especially loved the lamb lollipops and... the steak with the horseradish sour cream! Two different types of mussels dishes. I wish I could remember the name of ourserver. She was a young African American woman. I think it was her first night. She was absolutely phenomenal. Had tiramisu fordessert and it was outstanding! Will definitely be back! Also, I marked that we spent probably about $50 per person. Maybe alittle bit more. But keep in mind this was a birthday. You definitely could enjoy a wonderful dinner under $50 per person. Read more

We had the grilled steak with sour cream and horseradish kabobs, lamb lollipops, chicken croquetteswith tomato aoli, steamed mussels, roasted mussels, and the best tiramisu we've ever had. Read more
