Egg Drop Soup was very disappointing. This is normally my go to Chinese restaurant. The Crab Rangoon is always good, but I was... so excited to have soup tonight and it was awful. It was so thick it was almost gelatinous. ???? Read more

Two Words: Hidden Gem. Yes this place is a little old, it?s a little rundown, it?s a hole in the wall, it?s workers are old. But... there?s nothing old about it?s quality. This isn?t your fine-dining experience. But if you want the best food for its price,THIS IS IT. I?ve tried many items on the menu and has not been disappointed once? They don?t force you to tip, you never have towait too long even during rush hours, the front ladies are always nice and efficient, the portions are extremelygenerous?.. This is one of those places where I?d walk away guilty without tipping because I feel like I ripped them off payingso cheaply for such quality/quantity food. The Pho alone deserve to have its own restaurant because how good it was, and guesshow much it costed me? 12$, are you kidding me?!? You can?t even buy a sandwich today for 12$ , let alone an extremely authenticand flavorful bowl of Pho. This is one of those places when the chefs retire, you will never see another place like this again.Treasure it while it lasts. Read more

It?s just ok. Nothing special at all. Prices are decent I guess. Rating: 2.8 out of 5.

I always thought wonton soup was boring and bland...until I tried it here. The wonton soup at Old STL Chop Suey is so flavorful... and delicious, I found myself going back for some more a few days later. ???? Staff is also very friendly. Read more

We ordered general tso?s chicken, fried shrimp, crab rangoon, and the veggie egg rolls through DoorDash. They had the order... ready quickly. The general tso?s chicken was pretty good. It had mushrooms, carrots, and bamboo shoots in it, which I liked, butnot everyone would. Normally it has broccoli, so that would have been a nice addition. It came with half the amount of rice mosttakeout restaurants send with that entree. The crab rangoon had a good balance of sweetness, but were a little under filled. Theveggie egg rolls were tasty. They come in an order of four and each one is about 2 inches long. The fried shrimp wasn?t likeanything I?ve seen before. They were coated in a thick layer of breading that was almost like a savory donut. Kind of tastedlike a hush puppy. I?d say it was 1/3 shrimp, 2/3 breading. I?m not picky, so I thought it still tasted good, but it?s not whatyou expect when you order fried shrimp. Overall satisfied. It filled our late night craving. I?d give it 3.5 stars. Read more

I've never been here before, but I did check the website before going which literally shows a menu and hours lolbvs...nowhere on... there does it say CASH ONLY! So once I got to the counter and ordered a 1/2 order of special egg foo young(no pork,Xtra onion)and gravy on the side, at the point I pulled my debit card out the lady said, "its cash only and there's an atm right overthere"! So what I thought was gonna be a simple transaction, turned into me paying more than what I planned bc I was forced touse the atm (which charges $2.50 and only $20 increments and didn't have receipt paper)-my food was $10.46 and after thetransaction, I was verbally given number 86! As I waited for my food, a man walked in and up to the counter: Him- umm did youcall my number while I was outside Her- what was your number Him-i can't remember what you said it was(and he had to tell theorder instead) *The number thing is pointless if you don't have physical ones, especially if someone has a bad memory...Anyway,I'll be back for the food and prepared w/cash in hand bc the food was delicious ????
