Really good experience here tonight. Staff was friendly and quick, the pizza was good with a nicely, slightly charred thin crust... and good amount of toppings on my Mushroom Pizza. They could have put more basil on my wife's Margherita for my taste, but itwas still good. Patio was fantastic and my favorite part of the night there. Read more
What a delightful place! Lucky to live within walking distance. The pizza was perfectly crispy and seasoned, the straciatella... life-changing, the fried mortadella skewers delicious, the staff friendly and informed, and the wine! The wine! Can?t recommendthis casual, comfortable eatery enough. I?m not ashamed to admit that I went back TODAY, 16 hours later, for lunch. Themortadella and straciatella sandwich will be in my dreams. Cute pizzaria in the heart of the Hill with a wood burning brick oven -- gives the crust that unmistakable texture and flavor.... The marinara on mine was just right: full, robust flavor without being overpowering. The pies are the right size if you'rehungry, or split with a salad for two. A REALLY cute patio under a shade. I was bouncing around The Hill on Saturday eve. I hit Milo?s which was extremely crowded and walked outside when I noticed this... place which is directly across the street. It looks small from the outside but it turned out to be long and not wide like mostbuildings on The Hill. So I ordered one of their artisan pizzas to go and was told it would take around 25min. Then waspleasantly surprised when the hostess said would I like to wait in the bar. Definitely speaking my language, I eagerly accepted.I?m like wow, I had no idea they even had a bar. Walking past the busy open kitchen to the very back of the building is the bararea with a few tables. I?d say it?s the best area in the entire restaurant for sure. The bar is small with only around six barstools but has very big energy. Great friendly crowd there and the drinks flowed and time passed very quickly. I had so much funI ended up eating half of my to go pizza?haha. Give this place and their intimate bar a try. Oh yeah and the thin crusted pizzahas been one of the best I?ve had in the STL area.
