While in St Louis, I searched specifically for an African American restaurant that was open during the afternoon. It did look... like much from the street side where we parked. But inside was huge, beautifully decorated and appeared to be designed forlounging, dinning, dancing or relaxing for large parties or small parties. They were about to close from 3pm to 5pm but stayedopen for us since we were from out of town. We had fish, chicken and ribs. The food was really good and our waitress was a verylovely and very friendly young lady was new to the job but definitely on the mark. Definitely try this place. Loved the Brunch After Dark!! The vibe, the music, everything was very decent.. drinks were also on point! I will gladly go back... and experience another evening here. My only complaint is that my friend believes she accidentally left her credit card insidethe bill booklet. She tried to call the listed number a few times and couldn't reach a live person, only a voicemail. Definitelyshould have a number to reach someone at all times during open business hours, given that they're open til 3am. However, that'snot enough to keep me from going back for another fun night at this great spot. Read more
Dope vibe, great food and good service. My only complaint was that they sat us up top along a wall that had no place to put... your legs. Kind of weird setup, they should definitely look at making that area more seating friendly. Other than that, theview was great from up there and everything else was spot on. Lobster Rockefeller meal was delicious- lobster, shrimp, garlic bread seasoned WELL! The alcoholic beverages was POTENT and... Tasty! The music was dope- mixture of greatness. That was my first time going/ realized it?s black owned so I was extremelyexcited to be in that environment and honored to write a great review. I will be going back!! Really nice brunch, food was delicious and with a nice presentation. The restaurant was well staffed and wait staff was... attentive. They had a DJ playing a nice mix of current and throw back music (had everyone nodding their heads to the beat whileeating). Over all a great experience, very nice concept, and somewhere I will go back in the future. Read more
They had a big banner outside inviting people for lunch. I went in and the first thing I noticed was how loud the music was.... Night club volume at noon on a Wednesday. I was the only customer there, so I asked if they could turn the music down a little.They didn't. I placed my order and in about 30 minutes my waitress told me that the kitchen only now got my order and I have towait another 15 minutes. When 60 minutes have passed from the moment I sat down, I figured it's time to cut bait. I left. Idkwhy invite ppl for lunch if you're not planning to serve lunch.
