This restaurant is fantastic! Everything from the decor, to the food, and the service! The Filet is phenomenal, and better than... most steakhouse. I have tried it both in the garlic butter sauce and the Modiga style and its to die for! Perfectl in every waytender and juicy! Always looking forward to my next meal here! Read more
Not good and definitely don't recommend. I ordered the filet mignon steak with garlic butter sauce and they brought me a filet... with cheese, mushrooms, and mushrooms sauce. I told them I think they brought me the wrong steak and her response was "well theymight have, but even the filet with garlic butter comes with mushrooms." That makes no sense because the menu says "filet withgarlic butter sauce." It doesn't say anything about mushrooms like the other two steak options do. Also, none of them sayanything about cheese, so why tf did it come with cheese? She said she was going to go check and she never came back and saidanything. Okay, cool it's the wrong steak, but let's talk about the quality of the steak. I eat steak 2-3 times a week and cantell you that the steak I had was not good quality. $49 for what tasted like a cheap/tough shoulder steak. When it comes down toit, if you want a terrible over priced steak then look no further because Trattoria Toscana has you covered. They say their chefcooks with his heart and not his hands. The restaurant appears cozy but is extremely noisy. Our salad and bread were delicious and our service was very good. The... appetizer of calamari was tough and chewy. We had cataloni, seafood pasta, and 4 other dishes. It was disappointing not tohave some white pasta on the menu. Our bill was high and the food was unsatisfactory overall. We will not return . Another great meal at Trattoria Toscana! This is a hidden gem in South St Louis County. The food is excellent and the service... is excellent. We had Chicken Spedini and Linguine Tutto Mare. Salads, bread, and side vegetables were flavorful. They have arobust wine list as well as a full bar. The ambience is comfortable and our experience was quite pleasant. We decided to have dinner here just on a whim. This is a really nice restaurant with top notch service. I ordered the chicken al... vino bianco and it was the juiciest chicken I think I have ever had! The vegetable soup was the soup of the day and it was alsoamazing. The other two dishes we ordered were the veal marsala and the veal alla Parmigiano, both of which were fantastic! Iwould recommend dressing on the nicer side; I was definitely under dressed but treated fine all the same. :) I have a broken legwith a scooter and our server took the time to walk me to the restroom and open the door for me and then waited outside until Iwas done to open the door so I could get out easily and head back to the table. This is a hidden gem. The atmosphere was perfect, our server was knowledgeable and extremely friendly and the food was amazing. ... The fried calamari and fried artichoke appetizers were fresh and delicious but the Linguine alla Amy was absolutely incredible!!Everything our party had looked amazing!
