This is quite humorous... Went about a week ago and had a meal in the restaurant. It wasn't very busy but they were short... staffed. Our server was very abrupt and dismissive. Asked for some simple butter, got told I would have some and nothingshowed. A bunch of other issues during that visit... so I messaged the feedback centre. Was offered a free meal. Went to pickup our food this evening, brought it home and the ribs had no fries and my sons pizza meal came with no doughnuts. All in all,we will be driving elsewhere should I crave this chicken in the future. This review would be a 1 star but the food both timeswas cooked quite well. I don't usually write reviews, but felt the need to share our experience. I came with two children on Saturday around 5:30. One... of the kids wanted pizza - no pizza available. Then for her side, she wanted corn - no corn available (although we didn't findthis out until after we received our food and they had just guessed at what she might want for her side instead). We waited agood amount of time for our food - the table beside us was seated after us and received their food a good 10 mins before us (andI noticed them saying their order was wrong). The host who sat us down barely said hello to us. Another waitress dropped andbroke a ceramic dish with chalet sauce in it right beside our booth. I heard the waitress apologizing to another table forsomething that had happened as well. The waitress who brought my glass of water, spilled the water on the table when she broughtit to me and didn't even acknowledge the spill - no apology, no napkins handed to me, nothing. The menu stayed on our table thewhole time we were there. The manager apologized several times to us - she was the only person on staff that night who actedlike she had more than one day on the job - all the other staff needed her help checking people out, etc. The kids mealsincluded dessert to which the waitress just said 'you guys want M&M's, right?' I just said 'sure', assuming that was the onlydessert that they actually had available. Perfect dinner out at St Thomas Swiss Chalet! We were greeted and seated immediately. It was a very busy time and Zara was the... one and only server. Despite being run off of her feet, Zara was polite, pleasant, and amazingly efficient! She is a keeper soI hope she gets the recognition that she deserves! Job well done! Came in for lunch and was expecting slow service because the dining room was quite busy. However, my server Zara was very... attentive to my table as well as all of her other tables (as I observed). She was very pleasant and deserves lots of recognitionbecause she was providing great service during a busy lunch with only 1 server working. Will for sure be coming back! Read more
Dined in at this restaurant on Sunday evening, June 5, and I have to say the service I received was quite honestly impeccable.... Never have I had the pleasure of speaking to such a sweet girl, I believe her name was Clarissa. She made great conversation andwas very patient with our table, this girl honestly needs a raise ! ???? we made sure to tip her nicely, and I hope I get her asmy server next time I eat here. ???? Went out for dinner here, I?m new to the area and my 5 piece chicken dinner broke my tooth, my husband?s dinner was so very dry.... There was only 4 tables ours was one of the 4 with customers the waitress didn?t once check on us until she brought the bill. Itold her we felt neglected and my dinner broke my tooth and my husband?s was dry she came back with the debit machine and onlygave $3.51 discount off our $40.00 bill just disgusting service and food!! Tonight I ordered take out that was beyond unsatisfactory. To begin, the website would not allow me to place my order so I was... required to phone it in (a mere annoyance but one all the same). I selected pick-up as I am not in range of delivery. Myround-trip drive is 45 minutes long. Upon opening my meal I was disgusted. I ordered a Quarter Chicken Dinner - White Meat. The bun was hard & the meat was dry. The fries were "just ok". But the real issue was the new menu item which I was excited totry the- Chalet Seasoned Crispy Chicken - 2pcs with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. The mashed potatoes were hardlyplentiful enough in terms of size to consider a side, my meal did not come with the coleslaw and pickle as it was supposed to &if that wasn't irritating enough the two piece chicken looked like dried up roadkill squirrel. I tried to salvage the chickenbut after peeling back the skin I saw only fatty bone/ blood. I threw out my entire meal and made a grilled cheese for dinner. This meal was not even worthy of 1 star. I gather that it is a pandemic but this food looked like it should be thrown out ongarbage day - not that I paid money for it and picked it up 20 minutes prior. This is the worst Swiss chalet for ordering from. We have ordered from them 8 times and 8 times they have messed up something,... forgotten something and no apologies or offers for compensation and it doesn't seem like they aren't trying to fix their issues. This most recent time we ordered 130$ worth of food and the tracker said it was delivered but it never came. I had to call therestaurant and when I did I asked them to ensure the order was correct and when it came 20minutes later the fries are cold, hadmissed the chicken in the chicken and ribs so now I'm waiting for my chicken. It's been almost 2 hours since my initial order...Do better Swiss chalet. Read more
