Carrie is an amazing host and a great representative for the Salt Bistro. We had an awesome meal in a very pleasant relaxed... atmosphere. The meals were very professionally plated and were delicious...loved the lamb! After working all day and traveling,this experience was a most welcome treat. We ate at Salt Bistro while passing through town and it was excellent! There were a lot of great options on the menu and it was... hard to choose. The meatloaf and steak tips did not disappoint! I would definitely eat here again. Read more

The food was excellent. Delicious! But the service was super slow. I understand there’s a labor shortage but instead of... letting us wait and sit at the table for an hour, not knowing what is going on, bring some bread or chips or nuts. We had high hopes for this place. Restaurant is run down and in need of serious updates. Our table wobbled, ceiling tiles not... in place, holes in the wall by the kitchen door, and just generally needing some TLC. Food also was overpriced and not great. Portion size for the appetizer was very small, and the chicken marsala has a burnt taste. To top it off, they were even out ofCoke or Pepsi. Overall a terrible experience, and we won't be going back. In some cultures, cooking for some one, or providing some one with their favorite food is a show of love. I see a lot of love at... the salt bistro. I’m a regular there, my wife says I eat there to much, but I want a good steak cooked the way I like, and Ilike grilled salmon so I go to the salt. I can’t review the food here because we never saw any food. We came in for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was not full... at all and we were seated right away. The place looked extremely disheveled- wrinkled table cloths, no place settings, etc., butour waitress took our orders fairly quickly which was encouraging. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our meals all at onetime. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually my friend went up to the bar and asked the host about our drinks.He checked on them and they did finally come- but that was the only good thing about them. The beer that my dining companionordered was warm, yuck, and my sangria, which was advertised to be full of fresh fruit, was served in a glass that wasimpossible to drink out of, and the fresh fruit was nothing more than a lemon and lime slice. This would all have been fine withus. We are easy. But we finished our drinks, and then we waited some more. There were no new guests. The place was still notbusy. Finally my friend went to the bar again and asked the host for another beer. He was told that it would be right out. Againwe waited and watched our waitress and the rest of the wait staff totally ignore us. It has been a long day for us, and we liketo give everybody the benefit of the doubt, so we kept waiting just hoping that we would see food or another drink or at leasthave somebody stop by to let us know what the hold up was. The food was delicious, my husband and I were served in good timing, we had more than enough time to sit and talk over dinner... and drinks, and we were seated a comfortavle distance away from people to make for an amazing wedding night dinner. On a sidenote: I don't really like seafood, but the salmon special my husband got was absolutely amazing! I could have eaten the entirething, which is saying a lot! I’m shocked this place has such high reviews.we stopped just after 4pm, it was empty. We asked for bread to keep baby busy... while we waited for our order. Not only it took half and hour to bring bread but the bread was MOLDY. Yes moldy bread for aninfant. After 45 min and only then they said they were out of what we ordered ( lamb pasta ) but staid they didn’t even startpreparing the food. Dirty bathroom with no toilet paper even at opening hours. And no changing table for a baby. Had to run tomy car in a winter to change the baby diaper as there was no way I was putting the baby on the dirty floor of the bathroom. Atthe end they also charged us for the things we never got. This got resolved and the refunded ,us for the salad we never get toeat because it was never brought to us, and they apologized but it still felt very disappointing. I choose this place based onreviews for my birthday, I couldn’t wait to leave and forget this expirience. Read more
