Delicious food and excellent service. We called before going since it was within an hour of closing time. The owner was lovely... and warm both on the phone and when seating us. Amazing little find. Excellent bartender and excellent food. Rye Manhattan Lentil and Mushroom pate with pickled onion and... mustard. Roasted artichoke hearts with Lemon and Caper Aioli. If you are in the area get here. So good we came back for asecond night and had the Calamari and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Read more
R & P has a small, but diverse menu. We ate outside on the porch, well distanced from others. The food is consistently high... quality and reasonably priced, although the excellent Cabernet was pricey. One mild quibble is that they "decline"substitutions, making special diets more challenging. Read more

Beautiful romantic dining experience. The food changes weekly and it is spectacular, we've tasted almost everything on the menu... and it was ALL delicious. River and Post has inside seating and outdoor seating. Bartender Rob is wonderful. It is the bestkept secret, not officially open for dine in but you can take out or eat on patio. Read more
We must have gone there on one of those proverbial off nights. The food was ok, not exceptional. The calamari was a bit on the... greasy side. The Peruvian chicken was ok. The short rib was a bit dry and not a bordelaise sauce at all, it was merelydrippings from the braising. The French would not be happy. That was a disappointing dish. Service was generally clueless andslow. Every order was met with "cool". Drinks were forgotten and when lemon was requested for water, a solitary lemon slicewas presented. Frugality was exceptional. We were seated at an uncomfortable table and there were 6 available tables around uswhen we asked to be reseated. The owner explained she couldn't move us because those tables were booked for larger parties. Ok, I get it, but 5 of them were still empty when we were finished and we did not fly through dinner based on our service.....Not memorable dining experience in a good way.
