Alex and I worked up an appetite providing junk removal service in Stafford, Va. It was late In the afternoon and we were... getting hangry. We were originally heading to 5Guys, but traffic was bad at the corner of Garrisonville & JDH. We stopped in toStafford Kabob Room and I?m glad we did!! My goodness, the food was amazing! I had the chicken & beef kabob. Both the beef andchicken had an amazing mix of spices, it was to die for! The lemon sauce knocked my pants off, and the rice was about asdelicious as I?ve ever tasted. Reasonable priced, the place is extremely clean, and the owner was beyond friendly, (really niceman!). The food is top notch and the portions are LARGE! Our first time here was a couple months ago and now we make a it a point to come in at least once a week. The food is always... fresh and spiced perfectly. I was excited for this place because of the excellent reviews I saw, but I was disappointed after my meal. I don't know if it... was a bad day, but my experience does not match these other reviewers. I got there at 11:30 on a Saturday and they weren't evenfully open yet. The meal took a while to be made for me to grab and leave, and the prices are definitely not anywhere near lunchprices not do they match the quality of the food. I got the #15, lamb kebab. I've loved lamb kabobs in the past, having spentsome time in England eating the kebabs there most every day. Unfortunately the meat here was really tough and pretty dry,making it hard to chew and bite through. The rice was a little dry too. The served bread was chewy and didn't match the delicacyof the breads I've had before. It was overall a big disappointment. The only saving grace I found was the portion size wasdecent for the price. I've spent time in Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Africa, and Arabia...and i love their food. The Kabob Room is Pakistani style... and the food is really excellent quality, and the portions are large. The chicken kabob was grilled perfectly, moist and superflavorful. The rice, chick peas and grilled hot peppers were delicious. The "green sauce" was about the best I've ever had. This restaurant offers dining in but the place is kind of small. The dining area is informal but super clean and nicelydecorated. Highly recommended. Read more
