Saturday night dining inside. Ordered the fried calamari, decent amount for 2 people. Sauce is delicious, only small issue was... that the coating kinda fell and needed a little salt. Dinner was mushrooms crepes for her which was an appetizer and they weredelicious, sauce again amazing. My dinner was the Paccheri al ragu bianco, I seen ragu and just ordered it. It was outstanding.The big plates makes it look like you don’t get enough but it was actually just enough so I wasnt over full. Now for thefinal review: I ordered their house made Italian ricotta cheesecake. Thelmo’s wife made this (our waiter and maybe theowner). Let me say, we have eaten many Italian cheesecakes and my wife is direct from Sicily and she even said it was the bestwe have ever eaten. It reminded her of her aunts in Sicily. The picture I posted was what was left because to be honest Ididn’t bother taking a pic because it’s usually just meh! So sorry I didn’t. We had an amazing corporate event at Columbus Part Trattoria. It was in the private dinning room upstairs which has a beautiful... view and a great set up. Maria, owner and chef, did a pasta making demonstration participation with our group- she wasfantastic, explaining what she did, where it came from and expertly dealing with a wide range of cooking skills. Mario wastaking care of us manning the bar and organizing the logistics- which were flawless, well run and in excellent hands. Michaelhad arranged the event and recommended the menu items which were spot on- Risotto balls, anti pasto, and stuffed mushrooms tostart, and then a great selection of mains- one man said "this was the best pork chop i have ever eaten. period." Such adelight- i would suggest this for corporate events, evenings with large groups that want an activity that isnt too consuming,and/or any other event that you would want to have. We had a small wedding of 30 people at the upstairs portion of the restaurant. We had an AMAZING experience, from the staff,... drinks, space & food everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this space to anyone looking to have a great event. Read more
Okay... I’ve lived in Stamford for 13+ years and have not frequented Columbus Park Trattoria... been here about 2 times in the... past... what a mistake! This place is amazing!! Truly homemade pasta and classic Italian dishes! Service is fantastic and foodquality is equally as good... highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great date spot or even a classy businesslunch or dinner... they will not disappoint! Consistently good Italian food. The homemade pastas are exceptional! The food is always fresh with good ingredients and... flavors. The service and staff are very accommodating and friendly and expedient. The wine list is on the high side but hassome very good choices. I recommend this place when in downtown Stamford. Read more
