Decided to go here last minute for dinner. Food and service is top notch. We had the grilled shrimp appetizer, crab and shrimp... linguine, and the salmon (don't remember the exact name). Everything was fresh and so good. Drinks are good and a nice wineselection. Mark seated and served us and is great. Definitely will be going back! Read more

We came for a friend’s celebration dinner and had an all-around amazing experience. Mark was so attentive and welcoming. What... a charming young man! All of his suggestions were spot-on and our favorites were the mushroom gnocchi and steamed dumplings. Iwasn’t crazy about my first drink order (wasn’t what I expected) but Mark noticed and suggested to replace it without meeven having to ask. All in all - great food, amazing service, and a wonderful experience. We will certainly be back for more! Read more

Starters aren't as impressive compared to the main course. The Wagyu Burger and Atlantic Salmon were sumptuous and decent... portions. Read more

My partner and I like to go out and try new restaurants regularly. This weekend we went to Flinders Lane Kitchen and Bar,... however, this will be the first and last time we will be going to this restaurant. The main problem was the food. We had theSeafood Linguine as our main course. I would avoid this item at all costs. It has a lack of flavor (no lemon or chili flavor),overcooked shrimp and crab meat, and is presented with a majority of unopen mussels. Additionally, the chef must have tossed thepasta with the mussels leaving the pasta covered in large broken-off chunks of shells. May your teeth be speared unlike ours. Read more

Well, since the kids couldn’t make it for Mother’s Day, we went for a Mother’s Day brunch for 2 at Flinders Lane on Summer... Street, and wow were we impressed. I’d read that there are a lot of Italians in Australia but as a first generation Italianwith long roots in the restaurant business, I never imagined we’d find GOOD Italian food in Australian restaurant. Was I everwrong! We started with the meatballs and arancini and both were delicious. The meatballs were served with two thick slices ofperfectly toasted Italian bread drizzled with olive oil, just right for mopping up a delicious marinara. Four rice balls had amushroom risotto inside and were topped with a slightly spicy chipotle like mayo. Great start. For my main dish I had “lightas cloud” pillow-style gnocchi over truffled ricotta with wild mushrooms and peas. It was so good it’s going to be hard totry anything else on our next visit. The Wagyu beef burger was perfectly cooked medium rare and the homemade shoestring frieswere perfect (I couldn’t resist trying those even though I should NOT be eating fries!). For dessert we shared the sticky datebread like pudding topped with hot caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. The chef Brad came out to meet us (I was raving so muchabout the food someone must have told him he had a crazed fan!) and he told us it was his grandmother’s recipe back inAustralia. It was so light and delicious I now have to go to Australia to track down that grandma. We met Chris the owner aswell and we chatted with Mark, our fabulous waiter. Overall, the staff could not have more more attentive, accommodating, andkind. It’s a pleasure to go out to eat and come away feeling great! Not a single complaint or regret. Thank you Flinders Lanefor making this a great Mother’s Day! We’ll see you again! Read more

This place is fine for drinks and apps, but the dinner menu is pretty subpar. We came and did the prix fix, and we’re pretty... disappointed. The Arancini bites were 10/10, and the truffle ricotta was good but needed some salt. The fried chicken sandwichwas one of the driest I’ve ever had, and the burger was mid. The bummer was the dessert, I got vanilla ice cream and there wasa piece of plastic in it. We didn’t feel the server was very attentive. The drinks were pretty good, but I don’t know thatI’ll be coming back Read more

We decided to try this spot out for restaurant week and we’re definitely not disappointed! We made sure to make a reservation... (even on a weekday) due to a live jazz band on Thursdays. The server was kind and attentive, even the management walked aroundto the tables to check in. We had the tuna tartare, truffled ricotta toast and the wagyu burger and truffle Mac and cheese. Thetruffled ricotta toast was my favorite for the night. Overall a pleasant experience! Read more
