Great, authentic... You can smell the delicious food cooking from a half block away. The interior has a little bar area to sit... and nice decor. The food itself is very flavorful and true to its Jamaican roots. One of the best caribbean restaurants I'vebeen to in the area! Was in Stamford Connecticut today and stop by this jamaican restaurant, smh! Bought a curry goat and a Stew Chicken for my wife... and boy was I DISAPPOINTED! First to comment they were not pleasant, you walked in an establishment and you would have thinkthey would have greeted you with a smile and a warm hello, but boy oh boy. I really don't know what is going on with my countrymen, their attitude and food! The food is bland, fresh and has no taste! I realize that a lot of people don't like to cook, andwould eat just about anything and give it a five star review, but I'm a chef by profession and know good food, and honestlyspeaking! I could never give this place a 3 star, even if I was trying to be nice! Sorry but the food wasn't ready at all! Read more

Really loved the rice and peas. The curry goat was good. Plantain was just one piece and it was dry and not sweet. Service was... super slow. Overall good meal but pricey compared to another Jamaican restaurant in Stamford I go to. Read more
As other reviewers suggested, their staff is A+. Warm and endearing, I'd come back if just to say hello. For this review I... tried the small orders of their curry chicken, and their jerk chicken, as well as their patties. My initial thought is that thechicken is fall-off-the-bone delicious. Especially the jerk chicken. I really wish there was more of it, since I ended upfilling on rice and peas, and the portions don't guarantee a full piece of chicken. One meal had two legs (jerk chicken ), whilethe other was mostly bone pieces (curry). Overall, I wish their seasoning had more salt; make sure to add extra gravy to yourdish. The two patties were quite good, as well. Both were super flaky with a warm filling. The chicken curry patty is among thebest I've had. Flaky & gooey perfection. The beef patty, although a favorite, isn't as delectable as the chicken, with a slightgamey flavor. I wish the flavor of their curry chicken patty was on their main dish...it's that good! Overall, this place inthis neighborhood is a refreshing addition. It's hard to miss if you're driving, and make sure to make plans for take out sincethere's a very limited number of seats, and sitting in groups is out of the question. Read more
