Regardless of the outstanding Indian food here, some of the best I?ve had in the country, taj was an unforgettable experience... due to the cocktails. Each one carefully crafted and garnished beautifully, with a unique twist that reminds you that you arestill at an Indian restaurant. Taj is a great place for authentic Indian cuisine, but they have a hidden secret. Sanket!! He?s an international award winning... mixologist who makes very unique and deliciously beautiful cocktails!! This is definitely the place to come for a great meal anda fun surprise. Incredible experience. Our best restaurant experience of 2022 and probably the decade. The best aspect of this restaurant is... simply the attention. The detail, customer service and detail make the whole atmosphere perfect. When we arrived the restauranthad many customers but they greeted us right away and set up a beautiful table on a whim. They offered detailed suggestions andexplained each dish thoroughly, checked in on us at the perfect times, and everything tasted fantastic. Everything from the moment we walked up the stairs into the restaurant was remarkable. The staff was helpful, patient and... friendly which showed how much care they put into our experience. Its always nice when you can sense employees enjoy where theywork (once a server at an awesome place). The menu is not your typical extensive Indian listing but I'd rather have well-madesignature dishes if done greatly than to have a long menu full of a ton of choices. There were definitely traditional dishes andothers with a few twists. The drinks are playful with multi-layered presentation and garnishes. They had some SE Asianingredients but stylized more like tropical Pacific Asian coctails (like my drink served in a conch shell) with a fewJapanese-like presentstions - the table next to us had a smoked cocktail served in a wooden box. Our first visit but definitely won't be our last. Started with some great drinks that were unusually exotic and beautiful. Next... - the meals were excellent with plenty of food (although next time I probably won't choose a meal with the "extra hot" symbol???? I'm more of a wimp than I realized). Top that off with fast efficient service by a super friendly staff and we'll be backsoon I'm sure. note: not exactly sure how the star rating system works here - is it based purely on how much we loved ourexperience this visit OR do I think it's a "5 Star" restaurant. Every drink is handcrafted with it?s only unique flavor. Sanket is an amazing mixologist. Myself and 3 friends came in for... drinks and were not disappointed. We tried 2oz of happiness, tequila mockingbird, fruity dynasty, golden hour, and the elixir.One more amazing than the next. When I am in town I?ll be sure to return. Read more
