Got the BLT with fried green tomatoes and burger, both fantastic. If you get the burger, come hungry. The bathrooms were... clean, service was friendly and helpful. Our only regret is that we won't be able to come back before our vacation is over. Read more

Had Sunday morning brunch. Setting was pleasant dining room was not crowded. Service was good in spite of waitress being alone.... Food was excellent. Had the French toast club with a side of sausage and potatoes. Coffee was excellent. We will be back forSunday brunch with our out-of-town guests. Recommend local residents stay in town to enjoy this restaurant in a beautiful oldhistoric inn. Read more

*Mostly only speaking about restaurant* My son and I stopped in about 2 months ago when another restaurant was closed. The... experience was a bit weird as a first-timer not knowing how the place operated. I was confused on how to be seated. Anywho, there were some gluten-free options, but not too many, especially for children. Also, I asked multiple times if certain thingswere gluten-free, and was told they were, but then I heard the waitress ask the kitchen. The waitress was so-so friendly, as shedid check in a bit, but did ask another waitress for assistance. The staff didn’t really seem interested in myself or my son, more so the other tables. I get the vibe that this place isn’t kid-friendly. I did not feel welcome. Lastly, did not enjoy thebathroom being upstairs. I did not see an elevator if someone was wheelchair bound. The “guy” at the top of the stairs iscreepy (statue). However, overall the food was good. I appreciate the water at the table in a glass bottle with lemon. Also, the reusable napkins. The flourless chocolate cake (gluten-free) was pretty good, but very rich. Lastly, I feel I would notrecommend this place. Not sure if I would return. Read more

Fantastic Mother's Day meal at Lafayette Inn. The food is always on point with attentive service. It was fun to try a bite of... each dish as there were 5 of us and we all ordered different entrees. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of the grilledromaine wedge or the shrimp and corn risotto. The filet stack is a staple, but the scallops and mushroom risotto was divine. Then, came the sticky toffee cake, pineapple upside down cake, ice cream, and a Nightingale ice cream sandwich (Lafayette is theonly place close by that sells them). As much as I enjoy the ice cream sandwiches, the two cakes were absolute treats. We werescraping the plates clean to get every last bite. Read more

I loved my one night stay! Hospitality at its finest. The history and vibe are on pointe. I will be back. I did theb10 course... chef's pairing dinner - I was full halfway in, and completely stuffed before dessert. Highly recommend you do this. Pairedeverything with wine - they really do mean come hungry and sober! I stayed in the Jefferson Suite, it's well done andcomfortable. Perfect size for one or 2 people. Read more
