I picked up my Shop From Home order this past Friday. When we unpacked the groceries we were very disappointed. The fresh fish... smelled bad...through the wrappi g so we didn't even unwrap it. The limes were actually yellowish green, the lemons lookedspotty and well past their prime and the cucumber was huge and half yellow. There was also an error on my reciept for somethingthat was supposed to be on sale. Saturday morning I went back to the store to get the error corrected and to return the fishand produce. After waiting for about 5 min for the customer service woman to get off the phone, she processed the returns andadjust. Never apologized for the error, or for selling bad fish or the terrible produce. This, by the way, is the second time Igot bad fish from my online shopping order. I went back to the produce department to repurchase the lemons, limes and cucumber. While I was in the store I picked up some fresh chicken (Purdue). I opened the chicken today for cook for dinner and it was onthe verge of being bad. Last day of sale was today's date. What the heck is wrong with this Shoprite????? I have been aShoprite customer for 40 years. I will continue to be a Shoprite customer, but I will never shop at this store again. Rude andbad food.... there are other places to spend my money. UPDATE: The reply from Shoprite is an automated reply. Same repsonse toeveryone. I really don't think they are interested in the poor service their customers receive. So disappointing. Read more
Spent the past two weeks sick and in Gastrointestinal crisis. Going through literal hell spending all day at doctors and cat... scans and endoscopy?s. Look on google to see when my local ShopRite pharmacy closes. Says 9pm. Should be good right. OhhNOOOO!!! They closed at 8pm. You know, because of the pandemic. Never bothered to change their hours online. So I get there andpolitely go to courtesy (it?s about 820pm at this point). Courtesy can?t ?help? so I ask for a manager and then tell courtesythen I need to go sit down by the pharmacy because I can?t stand and am in extreme distress. Manager comes down and I explainthe situation. I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN DAYS. so sorry we can?t help you. So guess I?ll just go f-off over here while I?m up all nightcrying. Picked up today with online ordering. Excellent service. On time. Just waited in my car and the order was brought out and loaded... up in my trunk. Contactless. Update 10/12021: This ShopRite store used to be my favorite ShopRite store in the area. Now when Icome on a regular basis, I find that a lot of the shelves are empty. The produce section in particular is not well stocked. Itused to have the best produce in the area but now the ShopRite of Mansfield in Hackettstown New Jersey usually tops the Byramstore by far. Wonderful, when I went it was fully stocked and extremely clean. All the employees I?ve encountered were nice and helpful.
Picking up medication is fine there, but be sure to check return policy on other items. They were going to charge me $80 for a... blood pressure cuff, when I asked about the return policy I was told, ?only if it?s broken.? When I asked if it was returnableif it was checked by my doctor and found to be inaccurate, I was told no. It would appear that they are happy to sell nonreturnable medical devices to the general public regardless of whether or not they are determined to measure accurately. It isalso somewhat disconcerting to deal with a head pharmacist who thinks she knows more than my doctor. Buyer beware, and considervisiting elsewhere for medical devices. Read more
In the Hunt for NJs best Boston Cream donut and have to say that Shop Rite Bakery of Byram has to be considered in the top 5.... This old school donut was a monster and for only 69 cents, you not only get a great donut, but great value. This donut was sofresh and full of chocolate and cream, just like you want out of a great Boston Cream. So good, I had to eat 2 on the spot.Great Job Shop Rite Bakery. Read more
