Imagine getting up wanting a bacon biscuit but following doctor orders. I have hypertension, so I decided to get donuts at... Shipley?s. I ordered two donuts, one original and strawberry glazed this was my first time ordering the strawberry donut. I atethe original first and waited to eat the strawberry one later on. I had eaten my dinner, I go to eat my strawberry oneafterwards and lord behold I took a bite on some type of metal. I was furious, I tried calling up there to speak with a managerand no one answered. Next day spoke to the black older lady in there, she said no manager was available. She stated she wouldgive them the message and no one has yet to contact me. Imagine if that was a child, a parent would have been highly upset. So,just squeeze your donuts and make sure they?re safe to eat. I simply wanted my money back for my donut!!! Read more
One time I bought some of these donuts, and they were not very good. Recently I bought some, and they were very good!!!!!!!... Shipley's Donuts have always been good to me. Stop by there and get you some donuts. The earliest the better they are!!!!! Ilove them all!!!! Read more
Went to Shipley's in Starkville this morning. Was disappointed as to the lack of donut selections. was out of most donuts.... Grandkids wanted chocolate and strawberry sprinkled donuts- didn't have any. So do not know if they were out or had lack ofsupply issues.... Read more
I lived in Starkville for over 15 years, but moved out of state in 2005. Every time we come back in town for a visit, we have to... ?eat our way? around Starkville. Shipleys is ALWAYS our most favorite stop. We even take donuts across state line to share withothers who have never had, what might be, the BEST donut on earth. Unfortunately, this round, we were let down. We came to theshop around 7am, to find there were no donuts to be had. About 2 hours later, we tried again. Again, we were disappointed. Fourpeople making donuts and they couldn?t keep up. The manager seemed nice, but totally dismissed the issue and acted flippantabout the situation. Lots of people in line were also displeased, but there were plenty of large Togo orders leaving the store.Better planning might be needed to fulfill the demand of these ?sugar nuggets? Read more
I?ve never been to a Shipley?s before. But, after being sick for 3 days a good donut and coffee does the charm.! This is the... place for it.! Amazingggggg donuts and super affordable.! They also had southern pecan coffee.. yum!!! And the lady here is sovery amazing and sweet.! Just like the donuts.!!! A must must place.!!!!! I wish they had croissants too. Stopped by this morning. Service was great. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Shipley's do-nuts are the best . The glaze is not... over the top too sweet. The dough has a better taste than that place with the sign. The price is reasonable. The location isgreat. Shopping near by. Read more
The doughnuts just aren't very good anymore. I have gotten donuts from there two different times recently and they taste like... they were cooked with old oil, also the new interior is horribly drab. they removed the charming cozy "doughnut store" vibe andmade everything gray. Gray floor ceiling and walls + bare walls. It's just not appealing to be in there anymore. Food bad andbad atmosphere. Read more
