We sat at the bar. The bartender knew what she was doing and was very nice. Focused. The only reason why I knocked it down a... star is because we were served our food and then we had to ask for silverware after minutes of waiting because they were allbusy. My favorite restaurant in State College, Pa. Excellent meals- Boubon chicken & shrimp meal. Our server, Nicolle was one of the... best. She was trained very well. She repeated each order, checked back shortly after meals were served and offered refillsappropriately. She did get a new, cold Cole slaw for my husband when he mentioned to her that it'such better when cold, his wasrm temp. Again, Nicolle was an excellent server. She deserves a raise. We gave her a 20% tip- I hope her tips are hers anddoesn't have to split. Read more
The service there was amazing! The waitress was very speedy and kind, and she even let me make an unique request of having an... orange slice in my water! Applebee's is my favorite casual dining place for American food, especially in Kuwait where I live. Their US location in State... College did not disappoint. We went for an early dinner. Half the tables were empty but still there was a wait of around 20minutes (could be due to covid issues). Anyway, we were in a hurry so chose to sit at the bar, where the super busy bartenderwas mixing the cocktails for the whole restaurant plus serving food to the customers seated at the bar. For starters, weordered their double crunch bone-in chicken wings. They were really crunchy and tasty. For the main course, I went with a 12 ozt-bone steak. The steak was perfect. Tasty, juicy and done exactly as I requested. The steak went very well paired with a niceglass of wine. The prices are affordable and well worth for the quality you get. Highly recommended. Read more
