My family of 4 celebrated my birthday here. We have not been to a Red Lobster for about 2 years. We were seated quickly, the... server was excellent and my family turned me in for having a birthday since I chose the restaurant. When the manager overheardit he offered a complimentary appetizer. I have always liked RL, but this one in State College was better than my last fewexperiences, not that anything bad happened, but this one just felt to notch. Poor quality, over priced food + slow service despite being one of three tables in the entire building = a generous two... stars. Seriously though, I use to LOVE Red Lobster but I was greatly disappointed the last three times I went. Long storyshort, took about 15 minutes to have our drink order taken, and probably close to 40/45 minutes till our entree order was taken.Took super long to get our food, and it was mostly cold. I'm going to assume it was up in the window for a while and the serverleft it set as he did whatever else. Husbands salad was literally inedible, soggy and way too much dressing meanwhile thechicken was burnt and made a "clunk" noise when you tapped it on the table, it was so dry. But with how long it took to get ourfood, we decided it was easier to just leave it than ask for a remake. Then proceeded to have issued with paying, tried to findsomeone to help but everyone was in the kitchen. Took nearly 30 minutes to pay with the janky table side tablets, as they laggedso bad. Wish we had brought cash. It was nearly 8 till we left, after getting there just after 5:30. If it hadn't been mybirthday dinner, we probably would've walked out based purely on how long it took to even get our drinks, to be completelyhonest. Overall, a waste of money and even more time. Glad I did my errands before dinner rather than after. I'm definitely notgoing to return. Rant over. Read more
Great experience there! The waiter/bartender was super cool! He was training a new girl behind the bar and asked if it was... alright if she made our drinks. I'm always ok with people in training, they need to learn somehow. The drinks and food werevery good! Read more
I wish I would of taken pictures. But I do not eat fish or seafood. My daughter wanted to try lobster. I found many things to... eat besides fish or seafood. I had the 7oz steak mashed potatoes and side salad. Steak was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoeswere real and delicious. Salad was fresh. My daughter loved her lobster. She had shrimp which she likes. And loved it. I willdefinitely go back. Oh our waitress Jessica was Awsome! Since we had never been there. Biscuit is good. Coleslaw is average. Fried shrimp is too salty. The rest are great.
Loved this place. In fact, I ended up coming here twice because I wanted to experience their full menu. As a visitor to US, this... was my first experience with Red Lobster. I know this is a popular seafood restaurant chain so I assume quality standards aresame across the country. The place was relatively quiet when I visited. The servers were helpful and food was served quickly. Itried different dishes over 2 days and I must admit everything was high quality. The food was full of flavor and wellpresented. I loved the convenience of paying using their special devices that are placed on each table. My favorite was the'ultimate feast' which was a mix of lobsters, shrimps, clams etc. The touch based device placed on each table is also loadedwith games. I was just exploring the games and found a bill of $1.99 on my tab. However, the server was helpful and removed itfrom the bill. I guess I should have paid more attention before clicking play. We had a fantastic dinner at this Red Lobster location. We had excellent service from Amy, our waitress, while enjoying a good... meal. This location was clean and all of our meals came in a timely matter and very good. We had the sirloin steak, lobstertail, shrimp, and chicken salad. The fudge brownie dessert was very good and large - a must have! Overall great experience andwe will definitely be returning while visiting our son who is now a student at Penn State. I highly recommend visiting when inthe area. Read more
