My friend and I are residents at the Edgewood Resort for the thanksgiving weekend. The people where we are staying are the... nicest people I?ve ever met in the hospitality industry. However, Fredrick from the fine dine restaurant called edgewoodrestaurant was the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever met in my life. We stepped inside to get a look at the giftshop and also click some pictures of the lake from the window. He basically came out to escort us and was like oh guys have youseen the lake from outside?? Then he proceeded to open the doors and escorted us out when we told him we were just clickingpictures and didn?t have a dinner reservation there. We weren?t even inside the restaurant but he escorted us out when we wereclicking pictures of the fire place and continued to take us out. I told him that we are guests at the lodge and have seen itfrom outside but he kept talking and ushered us out. bad bad bad. 5 star views, 2 star food. Was excited to try this place but was mediocre, especially for the price. Bland and lacked... creativity. For such a wonderful location it deserves so much better! Read more

We went on a 4000 mile road trip and this was one of the places I came across that was near to our hotel while I was planning... the trip. All I knew of this place were the photographs, once while inside, the pictures did not do this place justice! We hadan excellent time, food was good, waitstaff was awesome and the views alone are worth visiting. Read more
Dined here for our 35th anniversary. Our waiter Andrew was fantastic, first class. Edgewood is lucky to have him and we lucked... out having him. We arrived on time promptly for our 5:15 reservation and the place was pretty much empty as expected that earlyon a Thurs night but oddly we got stuck at booth #31 so the sun was blaring in my eyes most of the evening and the view kind ofsucked from the far right side. That table sucks! The food was outstanding but the chef couldn't nail a medium filet mignon, itwas rare. We sent it back, Andrew couldn't have been nicer but it was still rare so we sent it back again! Finally it wasmedium but the entire dinner plate was reduced significantly including the sides. The elk medallions were done toperfection. The chef made a very nice gester comping us a magnificent desert, Thank you for that! Read more
Beautiful views. The food was tasteless, portions were laughably small. The service was sub par! Food brought before the... wine, we had to wait to eat. Never again. I dont mind paying for an expensive dinner if the food is worth it. We came homestill hungry! Read more
I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 12 years, this is the best restaurant in Tahoe! Joe is one of my favorite... waiters and he does a tremendous job of making his guests feel welcome and warm. Unfortunately at some point in the last 9months since I?ve last been here they decided to start serving cocktails in these trashy martini glasses that I can only imaginepoors buying at TJ max/Marshall?s. It definitely doesn?t fit the atmosphere, motif or price tag of this restaurant. Worse yetevery cocktail on the menu is served in this trash. Additionally the steak knifes are worthless and it?s much easier to cuttheir $60+ meats with the butter knives. Management-Feel free to contact me when you guys get rid of this trash and I will behappy to revert to the appropriate 5 star review. Read more
