We have eaten here in past years visits and liked the food. Ate here today for dinner and had the Fox burger w/ fries, chicken... strips, pulled pork nachos and cheese quesedilla. All tasted good. As a sub for ketchup for the fries, I used their BBQsauce. Place has a good atmosphere plenty of large screen TVs for watching sporting event and if family friendly. Reasonablypriced. If you want a drink or restaurant on the top of the Nevada side, this is your option. We just went to check it out and drove up... the grade as it is not a ski in/out place. It has a bar with gaming machines and quite a few tables. Not a lot of parking, butI suspect that is because most of its patrons are staying on top and don't feel like driving down and back up the grade fordrinks or lunch/dinner. Read more
My first time here. I just say it was horrible!!! The meat was beyond dry ( pretty sure it was old meat) ,the bacon macaroni dry... too and plain. The coleslaw very blend and the onion rings well ???????. I paid 70 dlls incluying tip. Also it is very strangeif you want to order to go, you have to use the web site, but you don't have the option to pay in cash. And the best part wasthe waitress/hostess/ whatever that is in the entrance because she had a really bad attitude, I have to aske her about my orderand in front of me she took more than 10 min to get it ready, she didn't include any bbq sauce, or the napkins that I asked for.If you don't like your job lady, go and find another one. Very rude. I WON'T RETURN. Please don't go, you can eat cheaper andbetter at the safeway. BTW I didn't understand why they put a piece of bread under the titrip and of course any butter in thecorn bread. Also found a piece of red plastic in my ribs. Read more
Absolutely delicious! For starters, I ordered the world famous smokehouse bloody mary topped with bacon and olives which was... very good. We were a group of 5 and decided to order the Lake Tahoe BBQ feast. This amazing platter full of delicious bbqshowed up family style to the table. It contained St.Louis style ribs, a whole chicken, tri-tip, bacon Mac and cheese, bakedbeans, potato salad, coleslaw, green beans and cornbread muffins drizzled with honey. This place gets busy. We ordered some takeout and it was OK. The place gets super busy and the staff does their best and offered... great service. Standard pub grill food. Fries were really soggy and old. Pizza was kind of burnt. Portions are filling. Read more
The staff at Fox & Hound are hard working and service oriented. The location is convenient, and the bar selection is good. A... couple minor glitches keeps it from 5 stars. The wings were chewy, which gives the impression that they are undercooked. Icouldn't finish them. The menu describes a pound of wings, but it's only 6 pieces, so don't get your hopes up. There weremultiple signs addressing their mandatory mask policy, but there was no management-level enforcement of it, and regular linestaff should not have to deal with that. Read more
Excellent food with a great view of the Carson Valley. Service was very good. Restrooms are down the hall, not in the... restaurant. There is a nice bar with spectacular views but signs say you have to be gambling if you sit at the bar which isunfortunate. We had the Works pizza and it was excellent! Read more
