I can’t believe what a wonderful experience it was to have a after funeral luncheon at this excellent restaurant. Everyone... enjoyed the food, service and the attentive staff. It was so above standards in a Staten Island establishment. I will beforever grateful that my family and friends enjoyed my mother in law’s passing with food and love. I was there this afternoon for lunch. While I was there, I confirmed reservations for this upcoming Sunday (which I made 6 weeks... ago). The female manager confirmed & happily said that she looked forward to seeing us again on Sunday. Several hours later, thenight manager called and said my party was going to be moved outside, due to lack of space. I’m thinking, LACK OF SPACE? Youhad plenty of room when I made the reservation of 6 for my daughter’s 16th birthday. How do you SUDDENLY not have room a fewdays prior? I will tell you how. Obviously, this manager didn’t want to turn away customers that frequent this establishment.This is totally unprofessional and beyond disgraceful. When I told him my thoughts, his exact words were, “well, this is theway it is, so I really don’t know what to tell you”. REALLY??? And he is the MANAGER? We’ll needless to say, I canceledmy reservations and called Giulianna’s which is fabulous, just farther than I had originally wanted to travel. My son and I saw Aunt Butchies on TikTok and stopped by on our way home to Washington, DC. We had a wonderful meal this... afternoon. The service was attentive and seamless. Alex had the Sunday Sauce pasta. The meatballs and sausage were delicious aswas my eggplant parmigiana. The portions are enormous. Great value!!! We finished with cannolis. Heavenly!!
