(Used to be) Great cocktails, accompanied by simple yet savory appetizers, salad varieties, entreés, and pasta. Most menu items... are made to order, so variations are possible if there are any allergies or toppings that aren't wanted or that would like to beadded. Spacious patio with umbrellas out back perfect for outdoor dining or an evening of liquid libations. Read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My boyfriend and I decided to go today on Valentines Day. Because Emma's is never busy and... we had a movie we wanted to see at 8pm. We got there at 6:30 pm. For starters we did not have a server so the host took ourorders and after an hour and a half of waiting for our food with the host checking on us ONCE and still no waiter we were toldthat they were out of what we ordered. Keep in mind it is 8pm at this point so not only do we not get dinner on valentines butwe miss the movie because we decided since it was so late it was fine if we could just get our dinner and get home which we didnot get!! He did not even offer a free meal for next time. He just simply stated "we are out of the food you ordered so if youwant to leave I understand." I've worked in the food service industry and I know it isn't terribly hard to let someone know ifyou do not have the food they ordered right away. Especially on a holiday so we had time to go somewhere else! Read more

The food has been very good every time that I have been there. I went once for Prime Rib, but for some reason they were not... serving it that Friday. The atmosphere is nice. It is not loud and does not have TVs. I would not take my kids there. Read more

Though I ordered out, the service was great and the meal was delicious. I was truly impressed by the way my salmon was grilled.... The crispy rub on the outside was fantastic. Read more

Saw they had Prime rib just on Friday night so came in to try it, but they were out. Which is fine, it does say first come first... serve while supplies last on the menu. We were the only customers there, so it was nice and quite. The waiter was nice, he didask if I wanted lemon in my tea. I told him I didn't that I didn't like lemon. He said he wouldn't put it in then. There waslemon in the tea when he brought it. I order fish and chips instead and my wife the burger. I asked the waiter not to bring intartar sauce that I didn't want it. He said, "sure I just won't bring any"...he brought tartar sauce. The food was so-so atbest. The bread was dry, the hamburger dry, and the fries look like the frozen kind you can buy at Walmart. We order severaldrinks...they were all terrible. We left one undrunk it was so bad, tasted like bad chocolate milk. The service was good, ourwaiter was nice, despite being terribly forgetful. The food was what I expect from a cheap mom and pop type of business. I don'tplan on coming back. Why should I? El Sombrero across the road has better food and FAR FAR better drinks for less... I am extremely disappointed in Emma's quality as of the past few months. My husband and I had decided that we will no longer... patronize the restaurant due to a decline in quality and service. Our most recent visit was a disaster. Our server, Jasmine, didnot approach our table until 10 minutes after being seated and was extremely inattentive. We understand if a restaurant is busy, but it was quite the opposite. Her lack of personality and obvious annoyance with our presence made us very uncomfortable. Onceserved, the food was bland, some of it tasted as if it had been microwaved, and the portions were EXTREMELY small relative tothe price charged. It is understandable that Emma's is one of the finer restaurants in Statesboro, but this was ridiculous. Idon't know what happened but it seems to have declined since Chef Scarborough's departure with the restaurant. Our friends thatintroduced us to Emma's have agreed with us that there is a lack of pizzazz, which is disheartening, and they will not bereturning as well until changes have been made. I have to add, once the bill arrived and was paid, that we received a sheepishsmile and not a" thank you" given. What was suppose to be a pleasant evening out for our anniversary, ended on a sour note. Read more

WOW....this place is wonderful. Do not miss out on a great dining experience. I have eaten all over the World and the food at... Emma's is as good as any restaurant that I have ever eaten in. The fried oysters are by far the best that I have ever eaten. Inaddition, the service is great...and do not forget to mention their website. The website says that if you call for areservation, and mention the "free appetizer" then you get the spring roll appetizer for free. I have never called for thereservation, but simply showed the hostess the webpage on my iPhone. They honor that and you get a very good spring rollappetizer for free. Read more
