Found this restaurant as we were staying near by. We started with cod appetizer which was really good then went onto duck... starter and deer tartare the duck was amazing really great oh and you get fresh in house made sour dough bread which was againvery enjoyable dinner the main course I went with walleye fish and my partner had the vegetarian pasta also outstanding a veryenjoyable experience going here, the waitress was really nice very passionate about everything the service was great foodamazing and you also have a view over the lake. If I could give it 100 stars I would! The food, the service and the ambiance are unparalleled! I would drive to esterel for this... place alone! As an Italian, pasta is always best at home, but la belle histoire served up tagliatelle like I’ve never tastedbefore! Bravo! Everything was fresh and tasteful! Not to mention you MUST have their cocktail Baboushka you will not regretit! First of all as a first time mom leaving home with baby is so stressful! I want to be respectful of others dining, but Ialso want to enjoy a night out! At the first sound my baby made I rushed for the door ready to leave, but the amazing staff thatthey are redirected me to a private room on the side. Got my baby back to sleep and enjoyed a beautiful evening with the mostattentive service! To know I’m dining in a place that’s own by amazing humans made the whole night all the morespecial! Worth the trip For our 29th wedding anniversary, we decided to do something different and took a 95km roas trip to visit this... restaurant. Fortunately, we ignored some negative reviews we read as they were only two and both made by vegan customers. Everyother comment we read was awesome. We loved it! Great location, great service and excellent food. Excentricity, audacity with alot of flavor, perfectly combined to provide a great taste that you will rarely find somewhere else. We've been attended bySophie, the owner who, you can say, loves what they achieved. Bravo! Definitely coming back, even if it takes a 95km drive justto visit. Read more

4.75 stars really. Our second meal was as delicious as the first. The food is beautifully presented and prepared by a soon to be... well recognized chef. Service is superb. For those that know, the setting is outstanding, so nice to see the resurrection of thereal bistro Champlain. Sophie and her chef husband are really doing this place justice.
