The staff is great, drinks have been good, and the space fun, but the food is awful. The beans tasted rehydrated with absolutely... no seasoning. Pretty much everything lacked salt, like it just wasn't added at all, and there was no depth of flavor to anythingbesides the salsa (however, the chips were stale). Best of everything. I ordered a ?small? tostada. It ended up being huge. The manager was super nice. I?m gluten and dairy free... and he had no problem making sure I was well taken care of. I chose guacamole over meat but wish I had tried the meat because myfriends got the nachos and a bowl. The chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. Though I swear I had a cup and a half ofguacamole on my tostada. Chips and salsa were amazing warm chips, homemade salsa. The refried beans were also amazing. I will becoming back for certain. Great service and good food right off the highway. They have some local beers on tap. There was only one server and we brought... in a big group without a reservation for a late lunch on a Sunday. He handled it like a pro and was very accommodating. Thereare some public spaces to eat nearby if you would prefer to eat outside. Read more
I go through Stevenson frequently but never stopped at this restaurant. I skipped lunch and was starving! So we stopped into El... Rio and boy am I glad we did. The food was great. The menu has full size portions or al cart (smaller size portions). They hada wall shelf with every type of hot sauce you could think of. The restaurant had a small town feel and everything that goes withit like hospitality. We will definitely be back! Thank you El Rio! Read more
