I arrived at about 1045 and was told that if my 2nd person didn't get there quickly we would have to wait for turnover from... Sunday Brunch Buffet to A la carte Lunch Well that was not clear so hurried in and there was slim pickings on the Buffet. Thestaff might have realized it so they began bringing out more replenishment food but the wait for that was over 20 minutes and Ithink they ended up eating their words (not food) and pushing back Lunch opening I also overheard ahead of me the hostessarguing woth a group that was supposed to be there for a bridal am brunch and said that they were too dull and they should havecome earlier Now that might be true but the presentation was a bit "off". Luckily the group of 8 plus did not argue .... butclearly there a mix up again in what was either advertised and what was real. The food selection (once refilled) was good, andthe mimosas at least made the wait pleasant. Read more

The food here is awesome. Had the steelhead and vegetables. All of the appetizers were amazing. Desert was good and for drinks I... recommend the huckleberry lemon drop martini. Lots of good wine and beer. Service was great and the view of the Columbia rivergorge was gorgeous too. Read more

We had a company appreciation trip to the Skamania Lodge and we had a nice casual dinner and drinks Friday night, which was... perfect after a day of travel. Trevor, our server was very attentive. Food was delicious. The only negative was they didn'topen until 2 p.m. and on a couple of our days we would have liked to eat lunch there. Read more

Played golf... impressive course. Tees to greens provided lots of options depending on next shot. Greens were undulating and... tested your ability to match your line and pace of your putts. Beautiful scenery with Mt. Hood and Mt. Baker overlooking thecourse. Read more

Sort yourselves. Epically beautiful venue...one would think a little lunch would be in order. First we read the sign outside... that said wait to be seated. Ok. Nobody showed up. So we went inside. "We want to sit out at that table, please", which wasnext to the other tables, on the other side of the door. One of two tables, identical to all the others, but on the other sideof the door. "Well there is no service at that table, but you can order from the bar", we were told. Okay. I took 2 menus andtwo rolls of silverware and went back to the table to form our order. A few minutes wait at the bar, with a pleasant smile onmy face and a menu and credit card in hand, I greet the bartender and tell him I'd like to order for outside. He tells me tofind the waitress outside. "Well we are at THAT table...on the other side of the door". Expressionlessly, he points to the topof the paper menu and says, "Call the To Go number". I'm thinking, paper bag full of paper boxes when I'm literally sitting onthe restaurant's patio and the people literally one table over is being waited on? So I say there must be some confusionbecause the hostess (and also the bus guy) told me to order from you. So we get into who specifically...wanting me to pointetc, and I shrug my shoulders and say, "I don't really care whats going on with who makes those decisions, I just want to ordersome food". Call the number on the menu. Went down to the town of Skamania and had a super reuben sammie and greatservice. Sadly, this is the third time in a row that we've driven all the way out there for a meal and been treated likeabsolute cr*p. No worries, you won't have to deal with us again. Too bad. Read more

Great customer service. Good food. I read the reviews and was kind of wondering if we should even go here, but the outdoor view... and the monopoly pushed me towards it. So there are two restaurants at the lodge; the cascade dining room which is seated and alittle more upscale, then the river rock room which has a bar and different menu. This review is on the Cascade diningroom. Called to book a res about a week and a half out. The girl accepting was new (she told me this) she seemed confused whenbooking and when I had to change times due to competing events, but when we arrived to the property it was in there (and able tobe changed again) so good. Mrs Jewell the hostess was super nice and professional. She greeted us, was welcoming and was supernice to our son. Her side job is basically to tell guests that walk up that it's going to be an hour wait or so (without a res,on a full house, on a Saturday night mind you), at least that's what I observed, lol. She is awesome. She seated us, was supernice to our son and remembered my sons name as we left. Pretty cool. John was our server. He had a wide coverage area thisnight, but checked on us and our son constantly. Made good wine pairing recommendations, knew the menu, provided a small to-gobox for leftovers when asked. Overall he was a super nice guy and great at his job. All of the staff, not even working our areawas super nice. To include the waves from the line cooks on the way out as they have an open view kitchen (very cool). We trieda small sampling of the steelhead chowder. Was pretty good. I regret not trying the bison chili, lol. She had the prime rib, Ihad a bone in porterhouse pork chop. Both cooked and seasoned well (other reviews must of caught them on a bad night Iguess). The beef was rare as requested (again other reviews), standard au jus and horseradish. Paired with a fresh potato mashand a few asparagus sticks. A really good dish. The pork chop was thick and cooked well, paired Read more

This place sure is beautiful, everywhere you look there is beauty, the inside of the restaurant looks amazing, lodge style. The... exterior is even better, you get to eat out in front of nature. I wish I was able to express the same feeling about the food andthe service, but is not the case. The food was not cook properly, no flavor either, the Prime rib was truly disappointing, twoof us did not eat the prime rib steak it ended up in the trash. I feel sad saying this because I love prime rib, the cook orchef needs a better handle on their cooking. The Pizza was one of the worst we have eaten. Customer service that evening was farfrom good service. The following morning was completely different and much better. There is 15% tip added to your total, notsure why since they are not providing a service of catering to us at the table, we are only buying the food. Everyone eatingoutside had to clean their table and trash their leftovers and run back inside to get your own refills. To us, our party, we areaccustom to leave 15% to 30% base on the service and food. Read more
