This place has it all! Great ambiance, attentive staff, good drinks and delicious food! The restaurant is the lobby of the... hotel, large open space, dimly lit but enough light to see, cute leather bound menus. Menu has a decent variety, at least onechoice from every food group. We went here on the recommendation of a friend. It's a little hard to spot from the street, but it's nicely located on Main... Street in Stillwater. If you love whiskey, this is the place! This was our 1st time eating at Matchstick and it was fantastic!! We tried 4 different dishes a day they were all excellent.... We've had their cocktails before so we knew those would be awesome too. I absolutely loved the interior design and decor of Matchstick. There is a lot to take in and observe when you enter the... restraunt. I didn't order any drinks, but the bottle selection that they have is truly remarkable. Everyone I was with wasimpressed with the food and selection of bottles as well. I never caught our servers name, but she was great too! I ordered thebrisket tacos and it was delicious. The brisket was tender, and it was complimented nicely with the slaw, cotija, and radish.They kept it simple without going overboard on ingredients, and it was sophisticated in flavors. Toasting the tortilla wasimportant to incorporate the dish together because nobody wants a soft, cold, and soggy tortilla. It was on the pricier side fortwo tacos and the food takes a little longer to come out, but it was executed perfectly. Read more

One of the best spots downtown Stillwater to get some good food. A few things to keep in mind though. If you're in a rush,... especially during busy times, you probably won't have time for here. Food comes out when it's ready, so it might take 15+minutes between your food and someone else's food at the table to come out. If you expect all of your food to arrive at the sametime or have side dishes come before or after your meal, this is probably not the place for you. However, if you're not astickler about timing or when the food comes out, this place is awesome and worth the patience and the experience. One of my new favorites. Fantastic place for whiskey...or whisky lovers. Book of alcohol available...and prices are... mind-blowing. Great selection of wine. Fish tacos were great, but get them double wrapped. Fries good at happy hour (as aretacos) and wings are good as well. Definitely worth a visit - inside and outside are both very cool. Read more
