Really good BBQ and LARGE selection of whiskeys. Owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Got to try the old fashion.
5 stars with room to spare! The restaurant has a very nice appearance inside and out. I loved that they had old Westerns... showing on screens around the room. I always get fried okra when it's on the menu; the fried okra here was the best I've everhad. Bonus points from this Texas Aggie for a picture of OSU @ A&M hanging in the hallway. This is now one of my favorite BBQ joints. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The bar has a wide variety of bourbon which is... rare in a BBQ atmosphere. The food was outstanding. I has half chicken and some brisket. I wanted to eat more but I was sofull. The greenbeans are spot on. Chatted with the owner for a few minutes, down to Earth man. Bad Brad's Bbq used to be the best bbq in the area....today's visit was awful all around. The food was cold or burnt, and small... amounts of food other than cold, over cooked fries (and extremely over priced ) and the service was barely there! Overall, Iwont be going back anytime!!! Below average experience. The meat is good but don?t expect good service or anything else on the menu to be good. The sides are... below average and the service is barely acceptable. I ordered Mac n? cheese and got Kraft macaroni from a box. Stuff like thisreally makes me choose different restaurants when deciding where to go for date night. I hope the business improves because ithas more potential than a box of macaroni. Read more
I visited this place tonight I ordered a 23 meat combo plate and a piece of cornbread which was the best part of the meal even... tho it was a bit spongy. I asked for my brisket to come from the point every slice that I had was cut directly from the flatwhich was over cooked and very dry. The chicken that I order was very dry also. The sides were okay being that the baked beanswere just pork and beans with bbq sauce. I'm sorry to say but none of this food was cooked with love it was overcooked thepotato salad was good.
