Felt like Freddie Paul's is the next place that should be featured on an episode of Restaurant Impossible. The decor was Mish... mash and outdated. The environment was just a shade above cafeteria style. The service was ok but not great. The food was notwhat I'd have expected for the price and for the Stillwater area. My hubby tried to deter us from going based on his experiencethere 11 year prior but I had never been and wanted to try it. It isn't somewhere I'd take a guest if we were dining out as atreat again. It was mediocre at best. The stuffed shrimp appetizer consisted of three stuffed shrimp, for the price, four shrimp wouldn't... have broke them. Not great tasting either. The bread needs to be heated through better. We had the BBQ choose your meatdinners. Fries were over done, well over done. Brisket was okay. Don't skimp on the sauce! We wanted to give them another shot. The salad bar wasn't good at all. We had pork chop,which was very good. Our side was... garlic mash potatoes, would have been good but it literally was dumped in vat of liquid on the plate, kinda looked like somespilled it on the plate. We did not receive all of our order and when I contacted the restaurant they argued with me. What food we did receive was... incorrect, one order for shrimp was supposed to be grilled and came fried. The chicken fried steak was supposed to come withmashed potatoes and when I told them they informed me I had only selected a salad when the grubhub menu says in the descriptionthat it comes with mashed potatoes. It's an average place to eat in Stillwater. The steak I had was a little tough, the ribs I had were okay, but nothing... spectacular. Their salad bar was pretty good. If the pricing was a little lower, this would be a 4 star place, but because theirprices they get a 3. There are plenty of other options in the area that I will check out before coming back here.
