Great food - delicious and well presented. Excellent service in spite of being very busy. Wine list is not huge but they cover... all the bases and price points. Came in here for my parents 32nd wedding anniversary. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was beautiful - lots of... history within the building. We sat in the front room to the right I will say, ask for a different room. Both doors to this roomlead to the entrance and the patio entrance, it was distracting, and cold. The food was delicious, the wine was affordable + Ilove finishing my meal with a coffee. Good coffee! I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5 because we had looked at the online menuprior to arriving and their Pescetore was labeled ?linguine pescetore? but when we ordered it was spaghetti. We missed the menusin house are listed as just pescetore. Which wouldn?t be a problem but I find spaghetti is rarely el Dante and overcooked, whichit was. I will visit again, very yummy food!! This is THE best Italian restaurant I?ve ever been to in my life so far. From the food , to the cozy history of the place , ... Cabotto's is as delicious as the first time we've tried it out. Pasta's are amazing and got a great suggestion from our waiter... for the veal tonight.....SOOOO YUM!!! Oh and the service is top notch also. If you're in the West end of Ottawa, you gotta giveit a try. Enjoy!! Read more
Me and my husband dined in for our first time here tonight. Safe to say we?ll definitely be back. Thank you to Laura our server... for being extra patient with my requests and for your great service that made our experience that much better. The food wasabsolutely delicious. We had bruschetta & calamari as our apps (10/10) and the butternut squash ravioli was amazing. Foodportions are definitely a good size also. Definitely worth trying out. This is definitely a class restaurant with the food quality to match. The main meals for the 4 of us was impeccable, tasty, well... presented and ohhhh so good. All were good portions allbeit pricey. But I suppose if you are looking for a meal that will standout and be memorable, then it will cast more. I had the steak stuffed with cheese and procuto, I could not finish it, I had toshare, it was great. The service was friendly and never lacking. I only have a small complaint, the Italian chocolate cake(Idon't remember the name) was not outstanding, it could have been better. Read more
