We have done both dining and takeout and have enjoyed both (though takeout packaging could improve to prevent leaking). We... found the service to be great and the food tasted pretty authentic. The max spice level is actually enjoyably spicy (but canalso request mild). If it is your first time trying Indian food, these are my recommendations for appetizer: chilichicken/cauliflower; entree: biryani and naan with shahi paneer or butter chicken; dessert: gulab jamun. Very bad experience? we ordered 3 chicken starters chilli chicken, chicken manchurian and chicken 65 and everything tasted the... same. Chilly chicken tasted sweet and was like chicken breast tossed in ketchup. Chicken breast pieces were too dry and hard tochew. Chicken biryani quantity was too less and salty. Water glasses were not washed well and smelled bad. We order drinks andthey gave us in the end. Had to gulp it before paying the bill. Please don?t feed this kind of food in the name of Indiancuisine! Overpriced No taste Bad customer service Average cleanliness Definitely not going back. ???????????????????????? Read more

The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was really nice. We went for dinner and ordered Chili chicken and haryali chicken... tikka in appetisers and they both were exceptionally delicious. One of the best I had in Ottawa. For main course we got methimalai chicken and lamb rogan josh and they were also good. But if you are a fan of spicy food rather order chicken curry. Therestaurant is smoke free and is handicapped people friendly. Read more

Although the quantity was good, the quality wasn't that great. It looked good so I thought maybe it'll taste great too. I... ordered goat dum biriyani. Priced at $21 on their website and $23 + 2.30 service fee +delivery charges on UberEats. Thisrestaurant is way overpriced for the mediocre food that was delivered. They didn't skimp too much on the goat pieces and thepieces were well cooked. But, it wasn't tasty and felt dry. They used extremely long and thick grained rice which needs to becooked more and blended well with the masalas. Hope they take these reviews into consideration and try to improve. Location isin a convenient spot in Kanata. Read more

The food scene in Stittsville has been slowly, but surely growing. I was excited to hear that we were getting our first Indian... restaurant. Masakali Indian Cuisine has a large menu filled with something for everyone. We decided to try out the ChickenLabadar, Lamb Rogan Gosh and the Hariyali Chicken Tikka (each dish was on average $20 per dish which seems slightly high to mecompared to other places in the Ottawa area). We were told all meat sold is halal as of Jan 2022. We also ordered 4 Lachaparata's and 2 garlic naans on the side. We ordered over the phone and were told it would be ready in 45 minutes, upon arrivingat the restaurant to pickup the order, it turns out our order was somehow missed, they quickly prepared our order while hewaited. The lacha parata's were somewhat burnt. However, the curry dishes were all very flavourful and delicious. The chickenand lamb were both very tender, the gravy sauces in each dish had their own unique flavours. The lamb was a little more oilythan I would have liked, but that is generally how Indian takeout is. My favourite was the Hariyali Chicken Tikka. The portionsseemed small, however it was more than enough for 4 adults, plus 2 toddlers. I am sure our experience with the missed order andoverdone parata is not the norm, so I encourage you all to try them out and support local! Read more

Finally the wait is over. Finally an Indian restaurant in Ottawa which serves authentic Indian food which tastes amazing. I have... tried many Indian restaurants in Ottawa (there aren't many lol) but Masakali stands out and shines. I'm glad that it's in Kanataarea which gives me all the more reasons to visit more frequently. Ambience is soothing and matches any fancy fine-dine. Wentthere with my family and we all loved the food. Restaurant is new and the support staff were doing their best to pleaseeveryone. We tried aloo tikki, chicken lababdar, paneer butter masala, dal makhni with garlic naan. Honestly, every single dishwas too good (check the pics). Three cheers to the owners for maintaining the authenticity of Indian food. Looking forward tomore such visits. If you are in Ottawa, show them your love by visiting and you won't be disappointed. ???? Read more
