Got the large cheese steak. My lord it could feed a family a four. They were super busy on a Saturday night. Forgot to bring my... salad. Which was OK because I just got it to go. We had so much food. Next time I will have to try the pizza. Wish they had beeron tap. But they had a good selection of bottles! Recommended this place for sure! Read more
I?m more than dissatisfied!. I have always rated Dante?s as one of the best( if not the best) pizza spot in Stockton. I live at... least 15 minutes away and I?m more than willing to travel those few miles to get their pizza( I live very close to a few otherpizza spots) Today I was so disappointed!. The crust was extremely thick!. Barely any sauce and the sauce was watered down !Thetoppings were scarce and the entire pizza lacked flavor!!. I don?t know what has happened during Covid but the quality of thepizza was way below my expectations . Sub par at best!. I had a few pieces left over and I?m not sure if I?ll eat them ! This is a small pizzeria / small Italian restaurant. The food and service was excellent it was a cute small little Italian type... restaurant but it is so popular that the weights are longer than usual. The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had in mylifetime. When we first arrived there we were advised that there was at least if not more than a 45 minute wait for pizza. Thiswas obvious as they were approximately 6 to 8 people waiting for their call in orders. Once the food arrived after close to anhour I must admit it was excellent. The server was very apologetic in regards to the food taking so long to come out he keptchecking on our order even went back to the kitchen as a kitchen is close to where the people sit and we could hear them tellingthe cooks it was taking too long for the order to come out Unfortunately when you have a good restaurant with a good foodservice and atmosphere the waiting time is the price that you have to pay if you don't mind waiting I highly recommend thisrestaurant you will not be disappointed. Dante's Pizza Cafe in north Stockton, California has a full-service sit down restaurant and takeout business. We ordered a... large California combo pizza with extra thin crust and a half-sized Cobb salad. The pizza was $31.80 before tax, loaded withtoppings. The extra thin crust was very thick. The taste of the food was amazing and the two ladies working at the check-outcounter were awesome and friendly. I ordered our items over the phone. Place was busy, but it was Saturday night. Waited a out 15 mins for a table for 6. Waiter was great! Always attentive if we... needed more refills or anything else. Got a pepperoni, combo, and bbq chicken pizza. Pepperoni was table favorite but it didhave a lot of crust and it was rather thick. Other 2 pizzas were good also. Hot and ready in about 15 mins. It's been a while since we've been here. We all had a craving for pasta and Dante's did not disappoint. The pasta dishes come... with a nice size salad and garlic bread. The salad included garbanzo and kidney beans, topped with 2 slices of tomato and lotsof cheese. The garlic bread was toasted perfectly with lots of butter and garlic flavor. The spaghetti was a huge bowl filledwith linguini noodles and just enough meat sauce. I added 2 meatballs, which were about the size of a fist. They added a nicetouch to the spaghetti. My husband enjoyed his seafood linguini. Again, the bowl was filled with noodles and had a good amountof seafood. Our server was fantastic! He was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Service was prompt and hewas good about keeping our beverages filled. We had a nice experience at Dante's. Items we ordered: 1. Two Chicken Alfredo (did not take picture) 2. Tomato basil pasta 3. Lg pepperoni pizza (did not take... picture) 4. Full Caesar salad 5. Half Cobb salad 6. Two kids pizzas 7. Seasoned fries (received regular fries) 8. Mozzarellasticks Huge order and decent price for all that food. First time here and it did not disappoint! Will definitely come back ????the chicken Alfredo were entrees and came with they're own side salad and garlic bread! Tomato pasta was very good and one ofthose could probably feed 2 unless you have a huge appetite. Pizza was super good and it passed the next day cold test lolsalads were bomb! Fries even though they weren't seasoned they were fresh and crispy. Mozzarella sticks were good but I lovewhen the cheese inside is super melted. Service was exceptional. I really liked the bread sticks and marinara sauce. I got the vegetarian pizza which was not bad but a... little too much dough for my liking. Overall a good place to eat. Read more
