A great go to when I am experiencing a fiending for fried catfish filets don't want to commit to the 25 min prep/cook but am... willing to drive 40 miles round trip ????. A large order is reasonably priced and yields four generous cuts of fillet that areseasoned with flavorful consistency. The order also comes with tasty french fries of an adequate portion and two pieces of breadpretending to be wheat maybe. I think. I've tried the gumbo twice which was hit and miss. First time I bought a small size andit fulfilled my taste for a bowl until the holidays roll around and I visit with family. The gumbo was flavorful, had all theusual participants, chicken, crab, links, bay leaves and paired nicely wth the cup of rice. Greed got the best of me and thenext weekend I ordered a medium bowl which I'd planned to eat for two days however it was a tad salty for my liking andtherefore it went out on a date with Tracy Disposal the following week. In all fairness I cannot add a comment on the cole slawbecause I didn't even taste the dressing. It was not visibly appealing in my opinion as I am not accoustomed to soupy slaw andtherefore it was a plus one on the Tracy Disposal date. I also tried the German Chocolate cake which had good flavor and it metmy minimum standard on moistness and freshness. I will return to try other items on the menu such as the buffalo fish andchicken gizzards (fond childhood memories). Stop thru and see for yourself and be sure to speak if you see me. I will be in abooth sipping a delicious cup of Lemonade waiting for my order, which btw the wait time is reasonable if you order uponarrival. Oh and double check your order before you leave because last time I did not get my rice and was too inpatient to cooka pot when I arrived home. Horribly mistreated by one of the owners on Saturday, September 17, 2022. I didn't get to order, but had placed a $50 bill in... his hand. When I asked for my money back I was short by $8.00. Would not recommend them. Read more
I chose to have the red snapper for lunch, 16.99. The fish was cut extremely thin and all I tasted was the breading and what... pieces of fish I did manage to taste was dry. Also, the bread they gave me and my gf is AWFUL! What makes them think that theycan give me oddly hardly seasoned bread that was quite frankly PLAIN. I refuse to go back here and that upsets me because it wasmy first visit to this establishment. Rather spend my money @ another restaurant in the area. Read more
Paid $17.99 for the jumbo shrimp got 5 shrimp and 3 slices of nasty bread lol not even like garlic bread or something just like... the cheapest wheat bread you can buy. And the fries were so skimpy as well. Like put some more fries instead of bread? Read more
I ordered some fried oysters while I waited for my red snapper, chicken and sides the oysters were ???? so good ???????? the... staff was very friendly made sure I had all the sauce and lemon the mac and cheese was good and also the spaghetti was tasty aswell. Read more
Worst fish and chips I?ve ever had, couldn?t even eat it (4 adults). Asked for Cod, got Catfish with a hard cornmeal coating,... french fries soggy, 2 slices of cheap store bought bread. Overcharged by $10 they did refund the difference. We will never goback. $76.00 for 4 meals, what a rip off! Read more
This is a pretty good spot and my friend and I stopped in while we were in the area. We both got catfish fillet plates and the... food was really good. I don?t care for the bread but the fish and french fries were flavorful and I always love that a placecooks the food made to order. It didn?t take very long for our food to be prepared, may be 5 to 10 minutes or so.I willdefinitely return. Read more
First walked in it said restroom out of order DONT ASK (literally on the sign) never got food because the experience was... horrible from the start. The company I was with addressed the cashier about scratching his beard and asked if he would behandling food. After the comment was made he continued to scratch his beard without any care. My company then asked about thedifference of regular and halal chicken and after asking for more clarification of the difference he got frustrated and calledus dumb Americans...I'm confused because we all are in America...please do more customer service training for your store. No onewas rude nor disrespectful towards your employee...just not exceptable and lost 3 orders. Read more
