Our family of 12 visited Spiaggeta while on vacation in July. I must say our experience was nothing short of spectacular.... Beginning with our server, Michael, who was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and very accommodating. He made sure we hadeverything we needed for our dinner. The food was exceptional…appetizers included long hots, calamari, mussels, andbruschetta. All were delicious. The main course selections our family had did not disappoint!! The Caramel cheesecake is a musthave!!! Everyone left full and ready for a 2 mile walk to work it off!! Would visit Spiaggetta again next vacation!! Read more
I can't even begin to explain how amazing Marco and all of the staff did an amazing job for our wedding dinner. The level of... service was top tier and the food was amazing! I wish there was a 3.5 star availability for Spaghetti because for the most part it was solid. Before I speak of the food the... OpenTable reservation policy was very disappointing. We booked a week before and it had all times between 5:15 & 9:00 blockedout as booked so we reluctantly took a 5:00. We show up on time and.... we're the only ones there. Seriously? From 5:00 until6:00 only two tables out of 8-12 outside were seated and 2-3 inside were seated. So why were we blocked out? The explanation wegot was bizarre. Something about OpenTable going off of previous appointments and blocking out tables depending on tableavailability and previous reservations. Um what? So if nobody is booked for this weekend it still books tables out becausepeople may book the normal spots? No first come first serve? Whatever. Food wise it was good, really good and average at times.The Cod was delicious but the tomatoes on top were a bit too much overwhelming the Cod. The rabe was cooked perfectly. The breadand oil were really delicious. The pork chops I ordered medium and they unfortunately came out bone dry and well done. Seriouslyovercooked. The marinade saved them a little but no matter how much I chewed them I had to choke them down. Unfortunate becausethey had potential. The polenta and brussel sprouts were perfect. HOW DID THIS MAKE THE NJ TOP 50 LIST???? not even close, HORRIBLE. Well to start, we were seated upstairs in the venue area... which was very unappealing, when asked to move we were denied, claiming downstairs was saved for parties bigger than 2 howeverevery time we went downstairs to the bathroom there were at least 8 tables open for 2 people. We brushed it off hoping the foodwould be worth it. WRONG. To begin, we had to pour our own wine and water. The waiter was very nice but he was the only onestuck up on the top level with us! (felt bad for him) As we looked at the menu multiple items online were not on the menu. I wastold the gnocchi was just not on the menu but it was good so I proceeded to order it. BLAND BLAND BLAND. OH and to top it off ittook 1.5 hours to receive our meals which we both took one bite and sent back. My boyfriend got the limoncello chicken which hecompared to RUBBER. Even after saying we did not like our meal or experience we never got to speak to a manager, instead we werejust given the check with everything for FULL PRICE. Rude. Shocked and disappointed. We had a wonderful experience for our rehearsal dinner. Marco was very easy to deal with and quick to respond to all my emails... and working out the details just as we requested. Everyone commented on how beautiful the tables looked and the appetizers cameout soon after sitting down and pouring our drinks. Our server, Michael, was very attentive and did a terrific job taking careof our group. And Chef Bob made all of our delicious entrees and stopped by a few times to make sure everything was as expected.I would not hesitate to recommended Spiaggetta's Restaurant for your group, or even a nice dinner with your spouse or friends. We hosted our daughter's baptism luncheon at Spiaggetta, in their recently renovated upstairs banquet room, which is gorgeous!... Marco and his team did an AMAZING job. Every detail was perfect and exactly as I had requested it. Truly, all I had to do waspick a menu and show up! It was the easiest event I have ever hosted. Of course, the food was absolutely delicious! All of myguests had a fantastic time and thought it was a beautiful event. I highly recommend Spiaggetta for your event (or dinner!). Read more
Nice atmosphere. Attentive staff. Food tasted perfect. Appetizer portions are large. Calamari cooked to perfection, unlike most... restaurants that over cook it. Rapini pasta dish was top notch. All seven in our party really had only positive things to say. Read more
