This was the nastiest looking and smelling food I ever brought. I don?t know how your establishment is still in business. I ordered breakfast and dinner tray because I love ???? to support our black business but breakfast I had salmon patties,bacon... ,French toast , home fries ????the home fries was very mushy my salmon was very cold in the middle no flavor and omg what theycall French toast looked and taste like fried bread in a milk and egg batter ????then dinner the turkey wings were dry all theyhad was a watery based gravy no gravy f the dry dressing and the Mac cheese didn?t taste like im use to this was not worth 45dollars for both plates I?ll never ???? go back Read more
The food isn?t bad but it isn?t great. I?ve tried 3 different entrees & only one was actually worth the purchase. I don?t want... to seem as if I?m trying to downplay this establishment but it?s the truth. I ordered meatloaf & it was pink on the inside. Ihad a bad stomach ache the next morning at work. I had fried chicken & it was really dry. I also ordered neck bones & I was saythat plate was delicious. The sides aren?t too much to praise either. It may be the times that I arrive to pick up a plate whichis usually in the afternoon but they are usually busy so I don?t understand why food wouldn?t be fresh. With all that being saidplease if you like soul food & just want something to get you by, this is your place. If you like good soul food then I wouldn?trecommend to my worst enemy. Read more
Now this was my first time ever going to this restaurant the only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the collar greens were... on point !!!!! I definitely give them a eight out of 10 but they should be so disappointing themselves with their macaroni andcheese that was the most salty macaroni and cheese I?ve ever had in my life !!!!!!!!!!! if you have a problem with your saltintake that is not the place for you to go I also grabbed two peach cobbler?s which was just overly sweet it tasted like sugarand peaches I also got a sweet potato pie !!! To be honest it just tasted like boiled sweet potatoes mixed with butter and putin a crust you could not taste any cinnamon no vanilla No nutmeg so disappointing such a waste of money the gravy overpowers thepork chop I won?t be returning!! Just discovered this place last week and I love the food. Well seasoned, tastes homemade. Good lunch portions. I went twice for... lunch. First time I ordered the turkey wings, stuffing and Mac and Cheese. I enjoyed everything. Second time I got the peppersteak, cabbage and yams. I enjoyed those as well. The cornbread is also very good and comes with the meal. I intend to tryeverything on their menu. Read more
This is that once place that I go to that just gets better everytime I go. The food is always delicious and the portions are... perfect for the pricing. Spending $10 on a lunch special that comes with meat, rice and two other sides is my kinda meal. Thedinner menu is even better because you end up with two pieces of meat.
