My sister in law (visited us from SC) ordered 3 packs of fried clam strips and a pack of fried clams. Discovered that we were... given only strips when she got home. Called to let them know, they were apologetic and delivered the the fried clams to ourplace without charging us anything. My husband and I regularly get their fried clam strips - they are delicious and reasonablypriced. Tried several other stuff from their extensive menu and they were pretty good. Read more
Best Seafood in Stoneham, by a LANDSLIDE. So many places try to get away with farm raised shrimp these days. With Liberty Bell... you can TASTE the ocean, the clams are absolutely out of this world, the scallops weren't huge, but they weren bay scallopseither...they had that magical sweetness you want with scallops. MELTED PLASTIC on food. Despite ordering my meal to dine in, I was given my food in some tacky to go plastic containers. As I... was eating my soggy steak and onion rings, I noticed that the plastic container had a bunch of holes in it. It turns out thatthese holes are caused by the hot grease melting the plastic/Styrofoam container with the food in it. This means that I spent30 minutes eating food with traces of melted plastic all over it. I asked management about it, and they said "Oh yeah, thathappens all the time". Nice people,super friendly staff. Thier food is consistent with quality and portions. You can't beat the price either. My... relative moved down south and told me they were thinking about " Liberty bell" the other day. They can't get fish and chips or ahaddock sandwich like that down there. Read more
Mixed bag here. Starting with what didn't work for me. The lobster, pricy for what you get, was essentially a small scoop of... lobster salad on shredded lettuce on a lobster roll. Lettuce was overpowering the lobster. :( :( Clam chowder was missingclams. :( On to the good stuff. Fried clams and scallops were really good. Decent portions too. Staff was friendly. Read more
