Been looking for a diner style lunch spot near work and found this gem. Great all day breakfast and a full lunch menu to please... all. Friendly welcoming staff serving well prepared food in a clean roomy atmosphere. Coffee refills and tea served in a pot wasa nice touch. Had a scrumptious breakfast at Maria's Fifty's Diner in Stoney Creek. This restaurant is a gem with homestyle food and amazing... taste. The service was outstanding, special shout out to our server Pauline, always smiling and checking in to ensureeverything was perfect with our meal. Eaten here several times. Always good. Retro-feel with wall-decorations, 50s/60s music and Looney Tunes cartoons always playing... (waaaaay better than the news! I hate when that's on in restaurants). Burger was good, fries were great. Smoked meat sandwichwas good except for all the black pepper, and onion rings were a bit overdone. Coffee was fresh & hot. How could I not have reviewed this before?! I eat here alot! In fact I moved away and now travel 45 minutes to eat here. Food is... always fantastic, and the dining room is always clean. I enjoy the old time shows played too, especially the three stooges. Icome here for the steak, fries and gravy. And also the reuban sandwich. So delicious. The reuban is just like the ones I wouldget in new york city. Just SO good. Read more
Nice local restaurant for brunch. Bring your hunger because the portion size did not disappoint. We found this place online and... glad we did. Service was friendly and quick. This was my first time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was precisely what I expected. It's a very... loud place however it was a Sunday and almost lunch time which is when most church goers head home and usually stop somewherefor brunch. Service was excellent our order came out of the kitchen relatively quickly. The homefries were delicious ???? Thepricing was competitive so no complaints from us that's for sure. I will definitely be recommending this joint to everyone Iknow and I'll definitely be returning in the very near future. Read more
