My family and I just hosted a surprise party at O Sole Mio in Stony Brook. The owners, Sal and Victor, were very nice and easy... to coordinate with for our party. There were many different catering menus to choose from and we were even able to customizethings a bit too. The service and food were FANTASTIC!!!! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone planning aparty or even just going out to eat for any occasion. All of the food was delicious and portions were very generous. Must-try: Italian cheese cake. Italian restaurant with rich option of pasta convenient for take out. There is a Piazza and... dessert counter for takeout at the entrance. They are busy but waiting time is ok. If you would like to dine in, you need to gostraight and pass the counter. There will be a waiter or waitress who can help you get seated. I tried some pastas here andthey are ok. What attracts me the most is their Italian cheese cake. I thought I do not like cheese cake before becase NY cheesecake is kind of hard and thick for me. You will have to wait in line, but it moves pretty fast. There are no prices for the pizza on the menu, so you will need to ask.... As for the wait time, it is pretty short. Just note the size of the pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and pastries. The portion size waslarger than I had expected, but it is apparently common for Long Island. Words cant explained how good is this place! The pizza and everything on the menus here is outstanding delicious. The worker and... owners treated you liked family member. Stopped by for lunch and were seated immediately and served bread. Tables were tight but hand sanitizers were on our table.... Server very friendly. Extensive menu hard to choose. We had an amazing dining experience at Ole Sole Mio. Roberto was our waiter. His service was excellent and on point. I am a... couple of weeks late on this review so forgive me if I forgot some of the dishes. We started with 2 orders of there clamspecial, amazing. The clams were stand in a delicious garlic and butter broth, excellent. The Mozzarella and tomatoe with abalsamic glaze drizzle was fresh and delicious. I personally had their seafood marinara served over a bed of linguini. It wassuch a generous portion of calamari, shrimp, mussels and clams in a sweet marinara sauce! E also ordered a delicious shrimpscampi in a nice garlic and butter scampi sauce good with toasted bread crumbs. We also ordered a farfalle pasta in vodkasauce. We had dinner here last Tuesday night. I chose the chicken special see photo attached. We also ordered the Mona Lisa this used... to be three chicken rolls. We waited 40 minutes for our meals.
