I say it all the time, A restaurant must have a combination of things that work, to make it great. Food, Service, Ambiance and... the feel. The SC I&R fits the bill. I walked in on Saturday night with a full bar, a wedding in full swing and only 5 or 6tables available. One was mine as I had made a reservation. Not long after sitting down, a manager came over and took our drinkorder. Several minutes after that a waitress took our food order. And ten minutes after that, John the owners husband sat withus the rest of the night. Yeh....that easy. We eat some beautifully cooked Delmonico steaks and drank Don Julio Reposado allnight. We ate well, enjoyed watching the small wedding party, toured the kitchen and walk-in boxes (SUPER CLEAN) & enjoyed thewood burning stove lit only a few feet from me. Rustic walls & ceilings from 100 years ago and a well stock bar. If you want toexperience what it's truly like in the mountains, try this place. I look forward to going back. Read more

Every visit to the Stony Creek Inn is delightful. The owners are such wonderful people and so very kind. My Father and I would... always stop here for lunch during hunting season. We haven't been up there in a couple years with all of the land being boughtup however. The food is always so fresh and there is a good selection of libations. I have never stayed overnight, but haveheard great things. I miss this place and do intend on getting up there someday. Read more
Out of the way but worth the drive. We were there on a show night. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel very... comfortable. We ordered the dinner for two special surf and turf and it was very good. I would have preferred my steak a littlethicker but mine was cooked as ordered. We are already planning another date night. Probably on an evening when they have aband. We like the rustic Roadhouse atmosphere. Read more
This place is one of a kind. Great food, great atmosphere and has bands that play Friday and Sunday in the summer, and Sunday... when school startes. It is a great family place. I have been going there for almost ten years and worked there for three. I willcontinue going there and would recommend it to anyone. Read more
