fabulous experience for my first dinner out since before the pandemic. backstreet grille has everything you could want; good... food, large portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff, an owner who visits the tables, and outdoor seating! we had prime rib &the fisherman's platter & they were both superb. i can't wait to go back! Excellent staff!!! The bread came out hot and fresh, as did the clam chowder. The restaurant got new owners yesterday and the... place was packed. Everyone was very attentive, but Arthur was hands down the best. I have been to loads of restaurants, butArthur was the best. He was manning loads of tables because of others being on vacation, but that didn't stop him. He got usdrinks before we asked, brought us bread when we had to wait a bit for the meal since the restaurant was full, and brought us ato go container before we asked. The only bad thing here was that the risotto was made with regular rice, and not actual arboriorice. Read more
Had an absolutely awesome dinner. We ate some clam chowder and fried pickles to start and they were delicious, ordered haddock... three ways, baked, broiled and the fish and chips, they were delicious so light and everything was full of flavor. I went to the Backstreet Grille & Tavern for the first time tonight and it was great! They were busy when we arrived and it took... a bit to be greeted and seated but everyone took great care of us! I enjoyed the broiled haddock with butternut squash andvegetable medley. I usually use tons of lemon on my fish but it was really not needed. It was slightly over salted but cannotwait to order this again on my next visit. My bf got the full rack of ribs and he devoured the first half rack in like 5 min!!We really enjoyed our night and the food was awesome! Everything was fresh, from scratch and made to order! Beautiful patio! Service was friendly and very efficient. We always had everything we needed. They bring out homemade potato... chips as well as rolls and cornbread before the meal. Almost everything on the menu sounded delicious. Everything we orderedcame out hot and fresh and tasted delicious. It was more than we could eat and we brought home more than enough for anothermeal.
