Came here for dinner during our mini honeymoon. Beautiful property and very unique menu. Service was great. I found the food to... be a little bland / didn’t exceed my expectations - especially for the price. And our table was on top of the table next to uswe couldn’t really have a conversation. Would still recommend because of the location and atmosphere. Read more
We stopped for a summer night on our way from Montreal to Boston in this lovely establishment surrounded by acres of woods and... peace with a pool, pond, and horse barn. The staff, atmosphere and attention to detail are outstanding. We enjoyed afarm-to-table restaurant experience and were very impressed with the menu and service. What an exquisite two-night stay we had at Edson Hill Manor this week - the place of our wedding 35 years ago! The inn is at... least as charming as it was for wedding many moons ago. The inn’s spaces are very comfortable; the vistas on the property areawe-some; the staff members are very welcoming - in fact we were treated like royalty; and their breakfasts are hearty anddelicious. We also enjoyed cocktails in their welcoming tavern, and a wonderful anniversary dinner in their restaurant. Thepatios off of the tavern and the dining room, where we were served, offered fresh air and beautiful views. We will definitelycelebrate future anniversaries at Edson Hill. Read more
Fabulous inn with a wonderful restaurant. Their attention detail is impeccable, from the neatly appropriated suites to the... Vermont focused farm to table dishes. A bit of a track if you are coming from Burlington, but not so bad if you are heading toStowe. They even have the famed heady topper at the bar! Read more
Edson Hill is beautiful spot for a winter retreat. We had a great time snowshoeing on the property; rooms were cozy with the... fireplace; the food was delicious. The one downside was that only half of the staff were wearing masks (during the omicronsurge) and were repeatedly talking about other staff being out sick. The majority of the guests were wearing masks so I wouldhave thought the hotel staff would at least follow that lead. Many other places in Stowe required masks or vaccination so thisfelt off. Top notch experience all around. I had heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint. The rooms is... unbelievably cozy and they really thought of everything. The bed might be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever experienced,the heated floors in the bathroom was an unexpected touch of luxury, and the wood burning fireplace was fantastic. We dined atthe restaurant for dinner and breakfast, as well as enjoyed drinks from the tavern. It's difficult to find bad food in Stowe,but the restaurant at Edson Hill was the best food we had during our stay. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner at leastonce while you are there. The tavern is also worth visiting. The decor is super cute and the drinks were fantastic. It's alsoworth mentioning that the staff could not have been nicer. They were warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. The tavern andrestaurant are closed 2 days a week, but the manager went out of her way to get us a beer anyway when we had time to kill beforeour dinner reservation in town. Finally, if all of this wasn't enough, the grounds are breathtaking. There isn't a corner ofthis property that isn't picture worthy. We will definitely be back. Read more
