First visit, recommendations from friends and staff led me to the Reuben and the Fish n Chips. Seating inside and outside.... Beautiful night so we ate in the garden area outside. It was the perfect choice for our group of 8. Everything was excellent andthe staff was great!! Really neat atmosphere to have a lunch or dinner. Overall pretty good service as well. All of the food looked amazing however it... mostly just tasted okay. Had a party of 9 so we were able to try many of the dishes. The salmon had potential but was prettydry. The fish was slightly mushy. Fries were pretty soggy. We did enjoy the butternut ravioli and the mac n cheese. The friedpickles and chicken blt were also good. Wasn’t a fan of the maple lemonade cocktail but did enjoy some of the beers. We were a party of 9 and we were a bit worried whether they would be able to seat us even though we made reservations. They... place was very busy and even though there was a wait we were able to be seated in less than 5 minutes..good start. Service wasvery good and the server was able to accommodate the requests of 5 children. Menu was good and beers went down well. If you'rein the area I would recommend coming here. Read more
We walked in for dinner last Friday night and sat at a high top by the bar. Food: 5/5 We started with the giant pretzel, which... was very good, with an above average mustard dipping sauce (and cheese). We also got the beet & apple harvest salad, pumpkinspice salad, and fried Brussels sprouts. All were very good and fresh, but salad portions were very generous, and we could notfinish. Lastly, also got the stowespresso martini, which was also great! Service: 5/5 Attentive, friendly server and gotmodifications correct. Seated us as a walk-in. Vibe: 4/5 It’s a bit cozier than your average brewing company, which suits thearea well. There are a couple different areas, the side bar area is more pub like, but overall, enjoyed the local decor. EDIT 1/27: So I actually took another trip to Stowe with my friends and we stopped by this restaurant again. This time, the... service was really poor. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes before being able to place an order. Our server rarely came to ourtable.The food was still good. I really liked the Bavarian Pretzel and the burgers were nice. The bad service and long wait isreally a mood-killer though. It wasn’t even that busy: maybe up to half of the dining room’scapacity? ————————— Definitely have to go here if you are at Stowe. We came here after a day on the mountainand it was phenomenal. No regrets. Me and my S/O ordered burgers; the Burgertyme and the Pub burger. Both were so good. Ourbeers were all excellent; none of them were too strong yet they all had distinct unique flavors. The service and atmospherewere also excellent. I forgot to take photos, but the restaurant is very bright, welcoming, and accompanied with both modern andclassic accents. Our waiter was also very entertaining and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Great local brewery and restaurant. Can be crowded, so make sure you budget some wait time for this place! Ample selection of... local brews. Can get sample flights or individual sample glasses (5 oz). Good selection of pub food. Had the burger and Ruben.Both perfectly cooked! Food ingredients are very fresh! Highly recommend this place! I had very high hopes based on the number of high reviews, however the taste of the food did not match the praise. The Macaroni... was a major disappointment and the salmon lacked flavor. The French onion soup was okay. I liked the butter squash ravioli. Read more
