This was a must visit for us while we were in Vermont. Heady Topper on draft was amazing. Brewery had a cool relaxed vibe with a... 2 beer limit. We picked up some freshly canned heady topper to bring home with us. Read more

Best place to drink IPA beers in Stowe! The beer garden in summer is very chill and cozy. The Heady Topper is a well-known beer... in Vermont and this is a must try if you have the chance to visit this microbrewery. Read more

Lots of ankle biting little children running around screeching, crashing into you, and breaking stuff. No well behaved 8 lb... poodles allowed. Only two beers available in the beer garden. The beer garden is essentially a childrens playground for drunkparents who don't want to watch their kids. But no dogs allowed. Inside bar had the other beers but only sold in larger packagedquantities. The artwork was very cool. There are two other breweries very nearby that are dog friendly in the outdoor spaces andoffer more beer variety. Least favorite brewery in the area. Read more

The Alchemist doesn't disappoint for beers. Heady Topper is what I started with years ago but had Focal Banger and Skadoosh on... site. Beautiful venue. For now it's a 2 can drinking limit and there is beer to go. One of the meccas for craft beer. If you canget there, GO! Read more

This was on my brewery bucket list, and it was well worth the visit. Took off one star as the experience was limited to two... 16oz cans for on-site consumption. Would much rather have preferred an option of smaller pours and the opportunity to tryseveral varieties. That said, the location, staff and beer were all excellent. Final note - don't forget to try the cheese! Read more

We did the tour and saw the beer garden here. The artwork is very cool and the atmosphere here is relaxed. It is a great place... for sure and on the tour you find out so much more. They are very knowledgeable about their craft from all angles. However theywon me over and I decided to do this review after hearing how seriously this company takes giving back and minimizing theirfootprint. Did you know besides making some great brews they have a scholarship program, recycle their spent grain to farmers, filter their water in and out, recycle C02 used during the process and generally practice environmentally friendly processes. We'll they do.... and seriously make some great beer while doing it. You can enjoy this company's products for all the rightreasons. Read more

If you love beer, you have to make the pilgrimage to Northern Vermont to the many beer meccas- and make sure The Alchemist... brewery tour is on your list. When we went in mid-october, the tasting room was closed so we booked the tour, which is a can'tmiss event. Upon arrival our souvenir glasses were immediately filled with fresh Focal Banger that was canned that morning. After a brief introduction, our guide walked us through the brewing operation, making a point to describe in-depth all of theimprovements the brewery was making to get to zero carbon emissions and eliminate the environmental impact of brewing beer. Allthe while, making sure our glasses were never empty. Inside the brewery we all wore masks, except, of course, when we had to siptheir amazing beers. Once the tour was over we sat on their patio and enjoyed additional offerings including Heady Topper, anEnglish Imperial Stout, Luscious, and a pilsner called Light. There was no shortage of beer and the patio hangout gave us timeto ask questions, talk with other guests, and pick up the beer we ordered in advance. My wife is not a beer drinker but sheenjoyed the tour and the beer. The brewery itself was immaculate- the grounds and the interior were well-maintained. Nestled ina valley surrounded by mountains painted by Autumn foliage, it provided a perfect spot for leaf peeping. Add the Alchemist toyour bucket list and plan your visit for the fall if you are a foliage lover Read more
