Love The Speckled Hen! Wonderful staff! Found this little gem last year on a girls trip with my daughter, sister, and... niece..this year my friends and I ate there 4 times! Our breakfast was courtesy of The Carriage House across the street where westayed 2 nights. Highly recommend the French Toast and Candied bacon! Dinner on night of arrival--best burger anywhere! At first, we thought this was a sit down restaurant where you order your food at the table. Parents be forewarned -- you will... need to stand in line, order your food, find a table, and they will carry the food/drinks out to you. Mind you, it is not a bigenough space to handle a line of hungry people. If you have another adult to wrangle the kids to the table...great! If not, youwill need to wait in line. The food was great! The portions were just right and I was full by the time we had to leave! Overall,it was a great experience and I highly recommend the breakfast, pastries, and their cappuccino's! Read more
Really fresh and wholesome food. Great selection and super fast service. Staff was very friendly and kind. We are here and after... ordering they bring the food to you. Place is well kept and very clean. We will be back when in town again. I recommend thisplace for a quick yummy breakfast and coffee for sure. Side note the bathrooms were clean. Lancaster is a one of the places in countryside that our family gathering on weekends so we come frequently. This place has... already added on my Lancaster list meaning we will come back! Speckled Hen really lightens up the scene in small town Strasburg. Is aesthetically pleasing as soon as you walk in the door and... screams Lancaster County. The prices are a bit high, but I think the food and coffee as well worth the price. The pour overcoffee is fantastic as well as the rest of their drinks. I love their breakfast dishes because they are unique, but also simplewith fresh ingredients. If you are trying to impress a family member that?s visiting take them here. Read more
A great little spot for brunch (or lunch)! Their hot caramel latte was delicious and their house made syrups are fantastic! The... food menu was delicious and had tons of options that could suit anyone. Our personal favorite was the stacked French toast.
