I didn?t get to really taste anything good went there bc it was highly recommended I live in New Haven Wooster street area but... Something went wrong with my staffs lunch order communications breakdown somewhere. My order was very wrong and incomplete hadto go back 3x meatball parm sub but no parm just pain old meatballs.Than chicken salad with no grilled chicken , than theycompletely left out another whole sub for my staff. I tried this place bc it had the food network vote who voted them in soI?m not sure what happened who?s in that kitchen? Maybe short staffed ? I heard all good things too .and I take reviewsseriously. My rice ball was sour and burnt my ricotta balls honestly more burnt sorry I was terribly disappointed Our lunchwas ruined! Excellent place for lunch. Visiting Stratford and several people recommended this place. We were not disappointed. The size of... the hero's are extremely generous. The three of us could only finish half of our hero's. We went during the lunch rush, in spiteof being very crowded, the staff did a great job of getting us our lunch in a timely manner. We will definitely be going backnext time we're in Stratford. Read more
At this point it goes without saying, but this is a great place. The staff treats you so well, they make efforts to help you and... remember your order if become a regular. No feeling of being rushed even though it is a busy place. The food is outstanding,with a great deli meat and cheese selection to make that perfect sandwich or wrap. WOW! Gaetano's is my new favorite deli in the country! I was referred here by my dad. From the moment I walked in here, I was... made to feel like FAMILY! The staff are truly AMAZING! As a 1st time customer, they made me feel so welcome that I literallywent 3 days in a row! Angelo, one of the managers, was phenomenal and provided me with the best customer service ever! The 3rdday I came to the deli was actually on my birthday and he even went out of his way to make something I specially requested whichexemplifies the OUSTANDING personality they all display.
