We ordered 3 burgers (2 Downie Street Burgers and a Bacon & Cheese Burger) plus the pulled pork poutine. All of us were very... pleased with our choices! The burgers were fantastic and so was the poutine. The burgers were juicy and had lots of flavour. Thepoutine had a very generous amount of pulled pork on top and the bbq sauce was delicious. All the side portions we received withthe burgers were very large considering they were sides! You definitely get your money?s worth. They have lots of options tochoose from on their menu in terms of different burger flavours so definitely try something new when you go! Craig is the owner(I think) and he?s been working as a one man show so manage your expectations in terms of order preparation time, but it?s wellworth the wait!! Place your order maybe an hour ahead of time to give him lots of runway. You can order online or call, but ifyou don?t get through on the first call don?t let it deter you. Amazing burgers ! Thanks to google Found this place on my last visit to Stratford and I wasn?t disappointed. They have an... interesting variety of burgers, appetizers and poutines that definitely worth a try. But more than the food, the manager wasvery friendly and respectful and my order (3 plates) was well packaged and prepared. I look forward to come back to dine atthis place any time soon. Read more
My parents and I were heading home to Kitchener from Grand Bend and were craving burgers. I came across this place through a... Google search. Sounded decent. So we placed an order online. Only for me to realize we placed the order two minutes to close(how rude of us!). I thought they closed an hour later. Anyways, I called to clarify if it was okay and the owner was superfriendly and said they?d be ready in about 20 minutes. When we got there, I went in to pay and pickup. Again, the owner was sonice. He told me about how he just purchased the place and asked who was having which burger. He also said he had to make freshonion rings for The Inferno and threw the extras in the box for us. I apologized for making the order so close to close but heseemed very unperturbed by it. Highly recommend the Dirty Bird and The Inferno. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Pretty disappointing overall. A lot of people rave about Downie Street Burgers so thought why not give them a try. Never... again! Kids meal is suppose to have 2 sliders and we only got 1. Zero toppings for kids burgers as well. My burger was pitiful,a hot mess literally. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger ???? Did not taste good everything was drenched in grease. Differenttake on onion rings but nope not again. Really disappointed especially when paying hard earned money trying to support local. Read more
I enjoyed my ?Knuckle Sandwich? immensely. Pulled pork on a hamburger patty... delicious. I was however disappointed with the... fries this visit. I would have been alright with them if it was part of a $5-10 combo, but this was $22. Some were burnttasting and others were a little crunchy inside. Sadly I left the establishment with a bit of burnt taste in my mouth aftereating the small pieces of fries in the bottom of the bowl. I hope next time they have improved their fries to match theirgourmet prices. Read more
Burgers are exceptional! Very well portioned and the buns (which were also very fresh) are perfectly sized. Poutine was also... very good; available as an entree or a side order. Great variety of signature burgers as well as ability to build your own. Allburgers can be customized vegan or vegetarian. If you are craving a burger in Stratford, don't miss this place! Read more
Great burgers & atmosphere. They do a really good job incorporating interesting toppings & fun menu names. We came on a... half-price burger night, otherwise the prices would have been a little high for getting burgers. Had really good service. Thelocation was a close walk from our Airbnb. Read more
Have always enjoyed the food from here, under the old and new management. I love that I don't have to pay extra for gf buns and... that the gravy is done with corn starch rather than flour, safe for me to eat and I've always thought corn starch makes forbetter consistency in gravy, anyway. Have chatted with Craig, the new owner, a couple of times, he's very friendly and takespride in his work. Read more
