Fabulous Chinese food! The place to go when wanting Chinese in Stratford.
I've enjoyed Genes since I moved to Stratford in 2004 .the service and food has always been good.covid has really taken a... toll on this family owned restaurant as for these 1 star remarks I saying not true what was said Mr Gene and what staff he hasis doing a great job .today is my wedding anniversary we've always went to the restaurant to celebrate many things I missthe dining room but I understand the short staff and the fact after all this restaurant has endured is still opened I loveGenes so I say try be in his shoes and see how hard things can be for a small business Read more
Third time getting screwed over ordering take out. First ...everytime I order and get told a time to pick up ,still have to wait... 20-25 mins as they start it when I arrive. The portions are half size compared to what it used to be. Now everything smallercontainers and not filled to capacity!!! This time I ordered 2 (paid for)wonton... only to get 1 call them and say nothing aboutfixing order just that they credited me for next time??!!?? So someone doesn't get lunch at work now.... Owners have always beengreat... the old lady taking orders not so much!!! Not a fan of her at all...actually witnessed her scam tips from younger girlsdoing all the running while I waited 20 to get order i phoned 45 mins ago for...she not a nice person. Read more
Do not recommend. I had 3 bites and actually threw away $50 worth of food. I'm shocked because I have never ever been in this... situation before. It's sad. Read more
Ordered pickup for my 1st time on a Sunday evening of NFL playoffs. Gene?s was very busy. The pickup time was achieved. The... food was excellent. I will drive 25 minutes from Baden to get good Chinese food from Gene?s in Stratford. The prices similarto that I was accustomed to paying in Mississauga. Read more
Took over an hour to be delivered. Food was like second day leftovers, soggy and gross? it wasn?t even hot. One of the items was... spilling and went all over the place when we placed the package down. And when I called to ask where the order was, the womanrudely told me it was on the way, and didn?t even apologize for the delay. Wish I could give it less than 1 stars. Read more
Clean, kinda expensive, $14 p.p but it's Stratford, so what isn't expensive... Slow service , 32 minutes and no food... No... refills on coffee, this place is getting worse the longer I sit here, we went from 3 star to one, 90 minutes to get basic dinnerfor 4, and it really wasn't very good... Never again Read more
Ordered on a Sunday night and was told 60-75 minutes delivery. Time goes past and I recall to check and they say it'll be here... in 5 minutes. Another half an hour goes by and I call again. They say it's right around the corner. I got my food 2 hours afterordering!! When I told them I would not order from them again, they didn't care or put any effort into making up for the extremedelay and it was expensive. On top of it, part of the order was wrong and the spring rolls were so greasy we couldn't eat them. Read more
