Came here on a Saturday rainy afternoon with a dog. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating of us, helping us to... sit on the patio under the umbrellas and even brought water out for the dog! The food was incredible, we had the burgers andfries as well as the fried chicken. It was all delicious. We devoured everything! Even the pickles were delicious. We do not goto Stratford often but already decided we will be back. Read more
We had an amazing lunch. Started with an app of pork dumplings (they were yummy) had the 2 piece fried chicken ???? dinner and... finished with the vegan brownie. Don't let the vegan part scare you folks it was so good! I would definitely recommend thisplace. Read more
Absolutely wonderful. Best fried chicken I have ever had in my life. It takes a while for your food to be ready, so be aware,... but totally worth it. The butter biscuit that came with my dish was to die for as well as the fries. I was truly impressed. Read more
On our 4-day long trip to Stratford the best food we had was at Mercer. A little pricey but worth the money and portions are not... small either. Drinks are overpriced though. Otherwise nice ambiance and great service. Read more
Excellent food! The chef is fantastic. The waitresses we had were very kind but new, and the service was extremely slow. Our... first round of drinks took about 20 min after ordering and our meal about 50 min after ordering. We were in no hurry so it wasbothersome but ok. It was a Thursday night and not busy so there must have been a reason for the exceptionally slow service. Read more
Good food. We opted to eat inside even though it was a beautiful day. Street traffic was noisy. We had the ‘world famous’... buttermilk fried chicken with biscuits. It was delicious. One person has the Berger with sweet potato fries and it was good.Another had the sushi roll- delicious and enough for one person for lunch. First time here post-pandemic. Friday night reservation, place was buzzing. We had a decent table - some are quite tight. Beer... menu is well curated. Partner and I both ordered fried chicken - mine was great, partner ended up with two drums - both oversalted, and a thigh that was overdone. Biscuit a little bland but fries were great. Overall not bad but not as good as weremembered last visit. Service was just okay - definitely not to an 18% standard, which is the minimum amount the machine asksfor. Also, staff dragging trash bags through the middle of the dining area during dinner service was a little classless. Cloudyglass on the cabinetry and restrooms that had obviously not been tended to in days are good indicators of the attention givenelsewhere in the operation. Not as it was, but not without potential. Perhaps yet another sign of the post-pandemic strugglesbusiness owners find themselves in within a society in which few want to work and staffing levels are increasingly difficult tomaintain...
