I ate here on Saturday, and it will be the last time that I do. I made a reservation for 12 people over a month ago. By the time... the date came for dinner, one person was unable to make it due to something happening last minute. When I came into therestaurant, I was yelled at by more than one person for not having 12. We could barely fit at the table with the 11 that came,but they acted like removing one seat was the end of the world. My table was still the largest party there. I didn’t have halfthe number or cancel on them—I had one less. We had to wait 50 minutes just to be asked what we wanted and had to waive thewaitress down just to get her attention to ask for water. It’s an Italian restaurant where you have to pay extra for pasta tocome as a side with your meal. There are far better options elsewhere. Read more
We tried La Fontana Del Mare for the first time, yesterday. 2022, was our first time eating there. The food is delicious and... the service is really quick with serving the food. They chefs specials are a great catch as well. All the food was good, zerocomplaints. Read more
Very good Italian restaurant in Strathmere, NJ. Had a dish with breaded chicken topped with greens and tomatoes. The menu... titles were in Italian, which I don't speak. I love that! Food was good. My wife and I go to LA Fontana every year while on vacation. The food is always excellent. I normally stick with the pastas,... but this time I went with the Milanese, which was delicious. It was a large serving and normally I would have saved half forlater, but I finished it. Desert was also delicious. I went with the cheesecake and it was well worth it. I highlyrecommend this place and the new outdoor seating area was great. We had great weather where it wasn't too hot, and with thefans and the bay breeze, it was quite nice. Read more

Got the Lobster-filled ravioli (special of the day) with lumo crab and shrimp. My partner got the Gnocchi Gorgonzola. Both... were amazing. Our starters were the calamari fritti abd artichoke hearts wrapped in bacon. The artichokes were different anddelivious. Frenkli was our server. Great guy and great service! Read more
My friends took me here to practice speaking Italian. I had been told by one of the staff the day before that no one there... spoke Italian. However, when we arrived, our waitress not only spoke fluent Italian, but also 4 other languages! She wasawesome! I got to order my meal in Italian and have a little conversation as well. I had the Rigatoni alla bolognese, whichwas tasty. However, I thought the prices were too high for the quantity of food you received. Our group of 4 ordered themozzarella as an appetizer for $16. We received 4 round discs of mozzarella cheese, just slightly larger than a quarter! Wow! A huge disappointment. Overall, the experience was fun and enjoyable. The waitress made it a pleasant evening, and I can't sayenough positive comments on her. Read more
